Reviews for Saigon Pho Restaurant in Yuma, AZ
Came here with a few friends, and the food was amazing. Waitress seemed to have a lot on their mind, which didn't retract from... the experience. I got the spring roll and the #3 meal which is rare beef pho. The beef gets cooked in the broth so its notactually rare. Not a long wait time. Will be eating here again and would recommend. Read more
I?m a fan on Asian cuisine, have been since my deployment to various Asian countries. This here Saigon Pho is truly a hidden gem... in the hell hole that is Yuma, Arizona. I?m happy to say that this is a well deserved 5 star restaurant. Not to mention theyappreciate military personnel they have wood decor for each branch of the military. Not everyone recognizes all of the sweat andtears that go into freeing other countries. I?ve been hooked on chicken pho since my partner introduced me to it, I ordered aplate and a some lemonade which I assumed would be Minute Maid BUT I WAS WRONG, the lemonade is made IN HOUSE and it?s the mostrefreshing beverage I?ve had in YEARS, it gives Starbucks a run for its money. My partner had the charbroiled beef vermicelliand quoting my partner they said it was ?fantastic? they also had the Thai Tea and let me tell ya, I tasted that and I wastransported to Saigon. As an appetizer we had the fried spring rolls, they were very crunchy and had the right amount t offilling! The service was amazing and the ambiance is great, will be returning 10/10. Read more
Yuma is about halfway to Phoenix from San Diego and a great rest stop. Who would have known there?s a random Viet restaurant out... here that is so good! Very rare that you get good Asian food in the middle of no where. Egg rolls - So fresh not frozen. Madeto order and deep fried to perfection. Every bite had crispy flaky crumbs. Pho tai - The broth was clear, fatty, flavorfularoma of pho through out. Rice, pork, egg loaf, shredded pork - This came with a side cup of broth. The egg loaf was a bit onthe salty side but it was moist not dry, indicating that it?s not days old. The pork was thin, juicy and flavorful. Chow fun -Loved this thick wide noodles. Not exactly the Chinese pan fried version but stir fried with lots of sauce. The wetversion. Curry beef - It?s neither Thai or Viet curry but Indian. Could taste the Indian spices such as garam masala. It?scurry over rice and gave off a huge spicy kick. A side of broth was given to the three dry dishes. This broth was differentfrom the pho broth. I liked it better. You could taste the strong bone flavor. My Thai tea was also really good. Not toosweet. Service was exception. The owner knew we were out of town and chatted with us and explained how his dishes weredifferent than traditional Vietnamese dishes. He also catered to our special requests. We will definitely stop by again wheneverpassing Yuma. Read more
Just got home and opened my flan. It looks like someone dumped a drink inside of it. Waitress waited on almost everyone in the... restaurant after I asked her for a to go box, I just went and got it myself. When I got home there was an eyelash hair in thebox. I would have posted a picture of that too but it?s already in the trash. I?ve always had good service in the past. Thiswas disappointing. Read more
Second time coming here and of course the food was great again. Also, I totally goofed and ordered something for my son without... asking about the ingredients. He has lots of food allergies so I know better. Anyway the owner I believe was there. He was verydown to earth and funny but more than that he was understanding that I messed up. He had my son's food remade and advised us toask the waitress next time. I will definitely come back. Read more
I love soup so this place is perfect! Packed with flavor. That chili paste ain't no joke though. I haven't tried the rare steak... but the well done brisket, off the hook! One of the best things about my dish was the broth. If only I hadn't put too much chilipaste. I recommend you go out and try it for yourself. Read more
Being a Vietnamese person and living in Yuma 4 years, I have been waiting for the real taste of Pho for a long time. I did try... some other places such as Asian Star, 2fifty1, and Yuma Thai cuisine where they offer Pho, but it is not made by a Vietnamesecook. Therefore, the taste is totally different, or even bad to me. This place is the best in Yuma area for the time being ifyou want to try Vietnamese food. Indeed, they have many traditional dishes, not just Pho. The owner is super friendly andhelpful. A must try! Read more
