Best fried chicken. Period. Perfectly crispy and juicy. Collard greens were amazing, tender, delicious. The mac and cheese was... creamy with a tiny kick. They were like no other mac and cheese I?ve ever had. The ribs dry rub was light but gave its ownparticular flavor. Perfectly tender. The owner, Ken ?Rags? greeted us before we walked in the door. We just happen to come across this restaurant and it is truly a diamond in the rough. The young man that waited on us, prepared... & cooked our food and also delivered it hot & tasty. The food was abundant and very well prepared. Everything was made fresh onsite. I had the dark meat chicken with fries & mac & cheese. Take a look at the fries... I loved them cooked this way. This wasthe best mac & cheese I've ever tasted. The way it was seasoned was just perfect and I enjoyed the added ingredients. I'm notgoing to spoil it, you'll have to order it! I love fried chicken, their chicken was well seasoned but not over powering. It was super crispy on the outside but the inside... was very juicy. I had their grape drink with it, also very good. The waffle wasn?t my favorite, I found it too dense but tastedfine. Support local family business! Read more
First visit, definitely not our last! Mr Rags was charming and quick to help us with menus and any explanations. We ordered a... fried chicken sandwich, and a Rag's Special. Not the cheapest meal, but made to order, and it felt made with real care, which isa refreshing change. Great place! Read more
Delicious! Our order was taken by the owner. Super cool cat. sat at the communal table. We got the chicken dinner with fries Mac... and cheese and grits. And a waffle on the side. Man .....mmmmm....Chicken was a touch dry but in a good way! Skin wasperfect...seasoning perfect....We got the dark meat 2 legs and a thigh we smothered it in hot sauce and syrup. Grits were wellseasoned...Mac was creamy and well seasoned....fries were well seasoned....waffle had a cinnamon batter and was very delicioussmothered it in syrup. Live music...went on a Saturday morning...looks like they have an all you can eat breakfast! Will be backfor that . I ordered the 2 piece white chicken meal the chicken was fried to perfection by Rags son. However it was under seasoned. The... baked beans have ground beef in them. I don?t like meat in my beans so I scooped them out. The beans are pretty good. The Yamstaste and look like they are canned. They were alright as well. This place has the kind of vibes that makes you feel like you stepped into someone's home. The people are welcoming and warm. ... The hospitality is over the top! The entertainment (dj and live performance) was fantastic. The chicken and waffles weredelicious. The chicken is so juicy and the waffles were perfect. A new favorite spot for sure! I think my search for really amazing fried chicken in AZ is finally at an end! This place is as real as it gets. That chicken... isn't even breaded until you order it. It's SO fresh. As are the fries: they're just fried chunks of real potato, not even in aFrench fry shape! Beans were fantastic as well, with just a bit of a tang that most other beans out there are lacking. Andapparently they're open for all-you-can-eat breakfast on Saturday mornings, but I expect there's quite a line for that. Read more
