We dropped by for a cocktail and light lunch. The Ahwahnee Bar is beautiful and the staff kind and thoughtful. Service was... delightful and care was taken to help with menu changes to suit our needs. Ambience beautiful with the snow capped trees out ofthe tall windows. The lounge areas in the hotel have cozy fireplace seating and is very inviting. Read more
Door lady would not give us a table outside despite having tables available?? Staff valaria (might be spelt slightly wrong) was... the saving grace with good service (reason for 2 star) . My advice : demand what you need as a customer and enjoy the fleetingdaylight view of Yosemite. Disappointing door lady. Read more
Amazing service! Amazing food! And amazing drinks! We enjoyed it there! I had the turkey chili and my boyfriend had the short... ribs. He had some of the local beers and I had the delicious blackberry bourbon smash! Read more
I ordered coffee one afternoon and sat at the lobby, I told my sister to ask for a glass of water with ice. They gave her a... glass of water but she said that the lady told her that there is a water in the fountain you can actually get some in there nexttime. What a service over a glass of water. More veggies options than the main dining room (3 / 5 Green Stars) Having eaten at most places in Yosemite, I?d say that the... Ahwahnee Hotel bar is one of the better options. I like the Curry Village deck (pizza or bar food) for dinner, the Ahwahneedining room for breakfast and the Ahwahnee bar as a dinner or lunch alterative. Dinner at the Wawona Hotel was also really good,if you?re in that area. The Ahwahnee bar has more vegan / vegetarian options than the main dining room, is a lot cheaper, andyet the quality of the food is still very good. I recommend the vegan Artichoke Hummus (Artichokes, Tomatoes, Chickpea Hummus,Sweet Peppers, Kalamata Olives, Fresh Herbs, Warm Pita) for $16.50 and also liked the Panzanella Salad ($14.50). The soup wasquite good too ($10.50) although at first there didn?t seem to be much soup since the bread bowl ate it all! (It turned out finein the end as the soup-soaked bread was delicious.) Aside from some minor mix-ups, the service was pretty good. The best thingis that you?re in the Ahwahnee! You can look out onto the beautiful meadow and valley, or eat outdoors on warm days. I?m givingthe Ahwahnee Hotel Bar 3 out of 5 Green Stars for social and environmental impact, for these reasons: ? About half the bar menuis suitable for vegetarians and at least two items are vegan dishes (Artichoke Hummus and Tabbouleh Quinoa Bowl). ? The best wayfor the Ahwahnee could do to improve its footprint is cut the beef from the menu ? beef and lamb have much larger carbonfootprints than other animal products. ? Could do a much better job at communicating on ingredients sources. Read more
