Last week I attended a private function at a very quaint location in Yorktown. It is called Sweet Dreams Bakery Bar & Bistro,... LLC, they provided several Quiche, Sweet Potato Biscuit with Ham, Blueberry Crepes and Chicken Salad Croissant. Everything wasbeautifully laid out. This brilliant location also does catering, you are not limited by the menu selection just yourimagination, if you can tell them what you want they will be more than happy to create it for you. I’m willing to try, again, with the thought my experience was on a bad day but my first experience after reading so many... amazing reviews was not well at all in terms of food. Service was slow but the staff very friendly, also on Mother’s Day,which was anticipated it would be busy for this reason. For that reason I’m going with a three. My husband and son orderedbreakfast sandwiches which were made incorrectly with how they ordered them- my husband ordered a sour dough with fried egg andcheese, my son ordered a croissant with scrambled egg and without cheese. They came out mixed up. The croissant was also burnton the inside as well as the eggs being over cooked and burnt. I ordered fried eggs with grits and sausage. The sausage pattieswere cooked on one half and not fully cooked on the other half. The fried eggs were over cooked and burnt on one side. The gritswere clumpy and tasteless. My son seemed to be the only one who enjoyed his food despite it not being what he ordered. Like Isaid, I’m willing to go back some other day that’s not a more special occasion but otherwise, I’m hard pressed torecommend this establishment to people based on the food. Read more

Ordered a cake for a birthday party to feed 10 and paid approx. $75. We picked it up on a Saturday for a Sunday dinner, and... stored it in the fridge. When we went to cut it was completely raw in the middle. We could not serve as the batter was soraw you could pour small amounts out into a bowl. The following day I took the entire thing back to the bakery and at firsttried to argue the it was meant to be that way, after I informed the lady that I knew that was not true she wanted to give me 50percent credit because I had made a cut. Nobody had eaten any but they still said we had taken it home. When I told her I wasgoing to make a formal report to the health inspector I finally got a full refund. BUT I will never go there again. A must visit! The pastries are fresh and absolutely delicious. The brewed coffee is not only a great boost of energy but the... perfect pair for these flaky treats. Not to mention the service is just as sweet as the treats, what could be better! Read more

We visited this place on a whim and absolutely loved it! The staff was courteous and friendly and very knowledgeable about the... menu. They provided excellent customer service throughout the meal and even kept our drinks topped off which is one of thoselittle things you don't think about until someone doesn't do it. The food transported us back to France with it's delicatepastries, other desserts and baguette bread. We had the French onion soup which was some of the best I have tasted with a verygood, but not overpowering onion and garlic with cheese and bread on top that made for an amazing texture. I had the MonteCristo, which tasker like French toast with with just the right amount of crunch to go with the ham and cheese inside. The freshmade jam that came with it added the perfect tartness to top it all off. My wife had the bistro sandwich that she enjoyed, butwas really impressed with the vinaigrette the chef made that came in the salad. For dessert we had a peach pastry and a tiramisumacaroon which had that slight crunch on the outside, but had just the right combo of coffee flavor, chocolate and cream. Highlyrecommended! Read more
