I guess my business was not the right color . I?ve never been to a restaurant that had to ask the owner/manager if I could have... dinner at the bar today was the first. My wife and I ate here for the first time on our anniversary. The food was phenomenal and the service was pleasant, prompt and... attentive. The food is all made from scratch, mostly with locally sourced ingredients. Cameron was our server and did a greatjob. The atmosphere had a quality of casual elegance. Absolutely the best date location. Fine dining for that high class feel and romantic charm. Over all amazing experience! I... cannot stress how amazing I was! 5 star food at a 3 star restaurant. First, let me say that the food was absolutely phenomenal. My husband got the gnocchi and I... got the crawfish fettuccine in which were both some of the best pasta dishes we've ever eaten. We also ordered the calamariwhich was so very good. Now the bad: service was sub-par. I had to ask for a tap water refill and give our checks and cards tothe server at the bar to get rung up to leave since they were paying more attention to the patrons at the bar than our tablealthough we spent $200 between the 4 of us so it wasn't a cheap night. Also, what Italian restaurant doesn't servecomplementary bread either before or during the meals? I was hoping for a bread basket to dip into my crawfish fettuccine brinethat was left over. Then the portion sizes were God awful for the prices they are charging. The picture above was about thesize of my hand (I'm a tiny female) and I was still hungry after. Came to York for work. By far a dry and boring town. However, I was able to find this gem through the rough. AN EXPERIENCE!... Staff is by far amazing, from my greeting to my tip & goodbye. I enjoyed my dining experience. Food was exceptional and drinkswhere ???? Will return!!!! Read more
Everything was good, the wine was my favorite (Tommasi Cabernet), the charcuterie was pricey, and just okay, not many options on... it, I didn?t love the meats, and the cheese was good but all combined wasn't my favorite. The basil panna cotta was good, &loved the texture, but, I don?t know that it was $13 good. Service was top notch, servers were very friendly and attentive,especially being that they were so busy, and the atmosphere was lovely. I?d visit again, but to try something else. Read more
Really special spot. Warm service and they had a great bottle of organic wine. Homemade pasta, thoughtfully sourced ingredients... and an outstanding charcuterie plate. Hit every expectation I had, strongly recommend this place if you are stopping in ordriving through the area. Read more
