Everything I ate was fantastic. Cream of crab? A+, Philly eggroll? A+, stuffed flounder? A+. But none of that even compares to... the Risotto that came with the stuffed flounder. I didn't know rice could taste so good. I'm not going to forget that risottofor a while. TLDR: all the food I had was delicious, but the risotto was transcendent. Read more

Crimson used to be a favorite of ours - we ate here two to three times a week at one point (the photo included of our receipt... from tonight shows what an average order is for us). What wasn?t to love? Locally owned, friendly staff, close to home, andgreat food - all of these pros used to make the price of dining here worth it. Those days are GONE. Long gone. I will admitthat the food, itself, is still quite good. But *something* has changed at Crimson. We started noticing a drop off in serviceabout a month ago. Orders weren?t coming out to our table correctly and such. We never made a big deal out of it. Never askedfor a discount or to speak with a manager. Just addressed the issues with the serving staff when they occurred. Well, thedownward trend has escalated and tonight, after having to address multiple errors with our meal - including the absence of oneof our meals - the poor professionalism and downright rudeness of our server was enough and we finally asked to speak with amanager. Lauren, the manager, came to our table and we relayed the issues we?ve been having dining here, the problems with ourmeals, and the way we were treated tonight by our server only to be, for all intents and purposes, brushed aside by the manager.Absolutely no attempt made by the manager to even ask how she could make things right for us and how to keep us as customersbeyond the offer to change our server (which, by this point, was of no use to us). Such a shame that the service at Crimson hasbecome so poor. We hate that what used to be our favorite local restaurant is now the one restaurant in York we will activelytell people to avoid. The restaurant is welcoming and sets a nice tone from the moment you enter. The staff have all been helpful and inviting. In... this instance, the waitress was excellent. She was pleasant and engaged, and this makes for such a more enjoyable meal. We got avery nice red blend wine. The crab dip was ok...being from southern Maryland though, this is a family favorite and has to beright. The meals themselves were very enjoyable. There aren't alot of side options and that is disappointing. Both recent timesI went, the daily side dish was a baked potato...not super exciting. I should mention that the first time was for a snack andcocktails after work. That time, the crock of chili and happy hour margaritas were well worth the trip! Read more

We pass this place many times a month and kept saying that we need to eat here. Well we finally did stop. I have to say that I... was not disappointed. Looking that the menu the prices seemed a little high for the selection but it seemed like after we gotour food the prices seemed fair. Appetizer the crab dip was good and the chili is one of the best restaurant chili recipes thatI have had in a long time. The steak was medium rare, which what we ordered and the shrimp was good. The desert list looks goodand they say that the deserts are from the local bakery, which we have stopped at and are familiar with. Our server was awesome.Very attentive, kind and patient. It probably helped that we came early and it was not busy, but regardless very pleasant. Read more
