I do not normally take the effort to put reviews, but yesterdays experience is making me do this. I use toogoodtogo app which... helps save food which might go waste on a particular day. I have been using this app for many months and till now I haven't hadan experience where I thought consuming the food would make me sick. The owner and the girl at the kitchen were first of all notfriendly and welcoming. Maybe since me and my wife are Indians but that's okay. The 2 parcels that we got from them weighed somuch and we were quite surprised by the size of it. Upon reaching home and opening it, we realized we have got so much randomleftover food which is atleast more than a day old, if not more. The stench was very evident when we were riding back home inttc and subway and we were confused why and how this smell was coming. It was a thoroughly humiliating experience and Iimmediately dumped the whole package in the garbage bin without second thought, when I tasted the sea food and it tasted likeuncooked dead meat. Horrible is the way to keep it short and sweet. I wanted to upload photos of the parcel but I clicked itdirectly through toogoodtogo app so its not in my mobile. I hope this helps someone when deciding whether or not to buy fromhere. And I hope I would get refunded as well. Spending dollars to put something in garbage is not what someone would expect todo. Went to St Matthew?s to grab lunch on a busy work day and wow! The best chicken I?ve ever had! Delicious BBQ GRILLED juicy and... tender. Must visit for all. Will be back every day. Got a meal the size of two for $11 with chicken and any two sides. They havetons of options for sides like rice, potatoes, salads, quinoa, etc. highly recommend ???? Read more

Pros: Very well prepared food Great prices Friendly service Cons: Parking is hard to find My first foray into Portuguese... chicken was an amazing experience to say the least. St. Matthew's has some of the best chicken I've ever tasted. Mostimportantly, it passed the mother in law test with flying colours!! Came in on a Sunday afternoon for take out. This place usmostly for take out but there a few tables for people to eat in. This place us super busy. There was a huge line spanning to thedoor as I walked in. Having said that, they're pretty fast at getting people in and out. Being an Asian guy, when you walk into St. Matthew's, chances are you will be the only Asian in the entire place. The guy who seemed to be in charge, was one of thefriendliest I have ever dealt with. He made me feel totally comfortable for my entire visit. On to the chicken. The chicken wassome of the best chicken I've ever had. It was delicious and moist throughout. Even the breast meat was moist and juicy. Webrought the chicken over to my mother in law's place for lunch. She's tough to impress when it comes to non-Asian food but sheloved St. Matthew's!! The only gripe you should find with this place is the parking. There's not too much parking on the streetso it can be hard to find a place to park during peak hours. Rogers Road is just not a very driver-friendly street as well. Iwill be trying the other Portuguese chicken places around the area. St. Matthew's will definitely be my go to when I need toimpress.
