Always amazing sandwiches here I recommend Veal with Cheese, Rapini, Onions Hot Peppers
Letter to the owner, very disappointed with the girls you hire they don't know how to make an Italian veal sandwich. Ask for... little sauce and they pour it on ask for hot veal and got no peppers. Not only my mother but your mother wouldn't never serveanything like this. Place and name going downhill. Count your money and drive your fancy cars but this is a discrase toCalifornia Sandwiches. The food is decent . But they like to give out expired condiments ?.. I received Heinz tomato ketchup dip & squeeze packages... that were from 2021. The ketchup was disgusting so I checked the expiration date and it was way past expiration. Read more
I like this location of this local legendary franchise but it seems to differ from the other locations. The classic veal... sandwich and sauce taste different from the Etobicoke and Little Italy locations. It tastes different, not bad but not as good.The dining area and capacity to feed many people is working very well. This location also has a bigger selection of drinks andfood items. California Sandwiches is a Toronto institution. If you have never been here, you are missing out on somethingspecial. Read more
Drove out of our way because this location was open on Sunday. We were totally caught off guard by the sandwiches we received.... As regulars of the downtown location this seemed like it was from a completely different store. We asked for extra sauce andreceived basically zero sauce - I?d hate to see the regular sauce application! Do not recommend this location and will not beback. Read more
The cashier wasn't friendly at all, and made us feel rushed, customer service clearly doesn't matter to her. After receiving... our sandwiches (we ordered 5) we were all very disappointed, it's like the sandwiches were just thrown together, they weren'teven cut in half properly. To be honest, I will never go back to this location again, we traveled all the way from downtown(Dundas & Bathurst) because the location on Claremont was closed...I've been going to California Sandwiches since I was a childand have only ever been to the downtown location and personally it's the best one. My favourite sandwich spot. Italian sandwiches are worth every penny and ate fresh, filling and delicious. I love the veggie... sandwich it comes with a bunch of veggies and I usually add the parmesan eggplant patty extra. Ordered delivery but highlyrecommend everything! I got the sauce on the side and they give more than enough. If you're considering trying it, just do it.You won't be disappointed! Read more
