My friend and I drove to Yonkers for a day of shopping, and as he knows I love seafood he asked if I wanted to stop for lunch... when he spotted Hook and Reel. We went in and while there was not many people inside we decided to give it a try. We orderedfrom a young waitress who we eventually noticed she was the only waitress working. She maneuvering from table to table placingorders, filling in at the bar, cleaning tables, bringing out food everything. While the owner/manager walked around with hisarms folded. He didn't lift a finger to jump in and assist with not one single thing!!! The food we ordered: clams, shrimp,chicken wings, fries and broccoli were bland.... totally with the exception of the chicken wings they were sooo salty we had tosend them back! I would probably give this location another try due to it's cleanliness and the waitress hustle. She kept hercomposer and continued to smile and be extremely polite. Went here for lunch with my husband on a random Thursday. The food was busting just like Mark said it would be. Mark the server... was excellent! He gave us suggestions on the food and was very attentive to us while still having 5 other tables. He made ourexperience worthwhile. Food portion and pricing are very fair. What Reeled me into Hook& Reel was their flyer, a free Tee with a purchase of a Boil meal. I had my food to go, and I?m glad I... did, I rather eat messy at the comfort of my own home then eat messy under surveillance camera ????. For 39.99, can?t go wrong,good enough portion for 2. Well made/well cooked. I ordered a mild with H&R blend and it had a Kick, I could imagined what ifI ordered a spicy or fire. ???? Take out, was quick; I manage to have 2 fast drinks from the bar, as Im about to order a 3rd,the food was out. Less then 10 min, the drinks will give you a buzz, when you least expect it, especially on a empty stomach.There?s plenty of seats and parking space.
