I previously gave this review a 3 I don't know maybe they had an off day but I have ordered from them a couple of times since... then and I have come to appreciate this mom and pop joint that is actually owned and operated by Italian Americans. The pennealla vodka is Gold! You have to try it and if you are lucky enough to get their fresh baked bread you are in heaven. The pizzais good too and the eggplant parmigiana is excellent it looks like they make their gravy home made and they do not overly saltthe food which I have come to appreciate now. Read more

I'm a bit baffled that my coworkers look forward to dining here every Wednesday for their pasta specials. I joined them for the... first time today and was entirely underwhelmed. Pasta is overcooked and mushy, overly salted, and the "carbonara" sauce was notas described when I asked the server about it. I asked what was in it as I know a lot of American "Italian" spots include onionsin their carbonara and the server said nothing about them so I thought I was safe - but no, I was served a dish I was allergicto. I ate around them as best I could as I am not anaphylactic and wasn't interested in making my coworkers late, but I'm notexcited about the tummy ache I'll be dealing with. When the server took it away he asked if I liked it and I explained myallergy and I was not offered an apology for the lapse in communication. For what it's worth, it is also a cream-based sauce soif you are dairy-free or otherwise looking for an authentic carbonara, you won't find it here, but the server was at leasttransparent about the cream when I inquired about the preparation. I was then charged $2 more for the dish than is listed ontheir website - and the listed price is still more than what I received is worth. I have recently paid less for a similar dishin Manhattan, where I was given a larger portion. I'm being generous with 3 stars as they clearly do care about their regulars, such as my coworkers, and the service was quick. Ultimately, it is overpriced and if you aren't a regular the service leavesroom to be desired. I don't plan on being back. Edit for the owner who has replied: i was upfront about not being able to eatmy dish and we were still charged, so while I appreciate you want to keep things positive, that is not what I experienced.Additionally, only 2-3 of the pastas on the specials menu were listed as $10, and while that is a good deal, it isn?t reflectiveof the rest of the prices you offer. Sincerely wishing you the best, but it isn?t for me. Read more

Was told this was one of the best pizza spots in Yonkers and I was not disappointed. it?s been around for 40 years and you can... tell. Pizza crust was everything. Great ratio of sauce and toppings. I also got the cheese cake which I am glad I did! It?shomemade by his mom?s original recipe. Great slice. Read more
