Peggy Sue?s is among the better Diners along interstate 15 and the oldest. It has a lot of character and it shows. It?s often... busy and the food is what you expect from a place that makes its pie fresh. Its the classic diner culinary experience. I had theliver and onions and thought it was fair & good for the price. Service was fine and thematically appropriate. It?s a fine placein Yermo. Read more

Peggy Sue's 50's Diner Yermo, California After visiting a few places on Route 66 California today we decided to dine at Peggy... Sue's 50's Diner in Yermo, California We had a nice dinner with excellent service. The waitress did her best since the Diner wasquite busy this evening and the Diner was pretty full. She was polite and attentive and gave us a great service with a smile. Wehave dined here several times before and always had a great experience and some delicious food. I will admit it's that it's hardnot to look around the Nostalgic displays around the Diner. Peggy Sue's also offers a great gift shop and has a nice PizzaParlor. I still have not tried the pizza yet. Overall this was another pleasant experience and will return when we are in thearea. Read more

Place has a very cozy old diner feel to it. Staff is very welcoming, we were seated promptly. I had the french toast. It was... delicious, the toast was a bit thicker than I would have liked, but still very good. Biscuits are yummy, very soft. Gravy is alittle heavy on the pepper but still good. The second picture attached is the chicken fried steak and eggs. I couldn't put myfinger on it but the steak had a bit of a sour taste to it. The aftertaste was even more odd. It wasn't pleasant, my friendcould not finish it. Food is good, nothing special, but I would say definitely worth checking the place out for the setting andthe cute gift shop they have attached. OMG what a great place for all your nostalgic viewing. A magical place for kids of all ages. Wherever you sit you will enjoy the... view. Do you love Elvis, John Wayne, Marilyn Monroe, Lucille Ball, The Blues Brothers, the place is happy days for real. Foodwas good and reasonably priced, staff was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I stopped in for a small quick bite and had theJames Dean curly fries with brown gravy ????. Fries were cooked perfectly, crunchy outside and moist and tender inside. Thegravy wasn't overpowering and mated with the Fries just right without making them soggy. Everywhere I looked the dishes on theother people's tables were very enticing. I wanted to sit everywhere and eat everything. Read more

Great service and loved the classic diner environment! I would like to give 5 stars because the service was great but because... the quality of the chicken fried steak meat was just not good (tough, gritty) I?ll go with 4. The gravy was very good though! Myhusband enjoyed the blob but he didn?t eat half of it since the portions are huge! While the portions were huge, the bill wasnot. Check this place out for a cool 1950?s throwback! Read more

Really enjoyed it here! The food is amazing, and portions are huge, so if you don't have a massive appetite just share a plate... or take your leftovers with you. So good we stayed 2 nights in our RV in their truck lot so we try more. The pizza is the bestwe've ever had! Loved the malts and cherry phosphate. DinerSaur park is neat to see. The gift shop is amazing, with some greatsouvenirs. Highly recommend stopping by! Read more

We had a wonderful lunch stop. The chicken fried steak dinner and mashed potatoes covered with country gravy was delicious. ... The green beans were fresh and the salad was crisp and fresh. The banana split pie for dessert was exceptionally good! Theservice was excellent and the food was delivered to the table very quickly after it was ordered. Everything was very fresh, verywarm, and extremely tasty! I would recommend this restaurant to everyone traveling in the area. You will not be disappointed! The décor and ambiance is exceptional as well. You have to see this place to believe it!! Read more
