We started dining at ma&pas about a year and a half ago. When we first started going here the food was amazing. Best in town in... our books. And we've frequent minimum 3x a week. Over the last few months we've encountered a few rude servers, being shortedon food and not told about or even asked for a substitute. When we've called to verify the order wasn't complete all we receivedwas "we short on sausage patties, but I can give you 50¢ back" in a rude manner. But when we ask for extras they charge you$2.00. Great service and even better food. We got the ribeye steak and chicken fried steak and highly recommend both! Their Mac and... cheese is the cheesiest I've tasted. Everything was jam packed with delicious flavors, even toast! They somehow made the besttoast I've ever had, still can't stop talking about it. They have customers for life! Read more
Quaint, comfortable, little spot. The biscuits & gravy was so good that I finished my plate even though it was a huge portion.... The hostess/server was very friendly & personable. I'll be back the next time I'm in Yelm, but will go for lunch cuz I heardother patrons talk about how good the fries are. Read more
I wish I could rank Ma and Pa's higher but I need to be honest* Definitely their steak and eggs is a must try, as are many of... their burgers and breakfasts. (Arrive early for one of their breakfasts though, the secret is out of the bag on that topic amongthe locals!) Their staff works hard to meet our needs-I like that. The name Ma and Pa's is accurate as they truly are a momand pop owned operation. I do not know if this next bit is a fact but I believe that Ma and Pa's made it through the pandemicdue to their large and fiercely loyal customer base. We customers are very glad that they are still with us! Highlyrecommended. *(from what I understand, there are many services one can rank 5 star, including chefs. When I worked for a 4star restaurant our chef informed me that when it came to restaurants, 4 star was the pinnacle other restaurants strive for.) Read more
I love a good diner. There's something sublime about well prepared comfort food in a cozy setting and this place has both. The... environment is cute and very inviting. The service was prompt and excellent. The food though, the food is what I care about themost and where they really shine. They have well put together flavors, good textures and abundant proportions. I tried the BBQburger and my wife had the mushroom and swiss. Both were well made by and very tasty. I think I'll have to come back in and tryevery burger on the menu at least once. Excellent breakfast in a very friendly, warm atmosphere. Locals coming in to eat, laughing and smiling. We will return for sure.... Food was excellent. Husband had chicken fried steak. I had Ma's Scrambled. Coffee pots on table. Nice extra touch. Read more

Cute little diner with delicious food!! Fun signs and pictures all over the walls. The spicy chicken sandwich was good, my mom... had the rib eye steak with mac and cheese and mashed potatoes. She loved it! We also shared mozzarella sticks and they werecooked perfectly. The waitress was super friendly and nice we will definitely be back!! Wish we had found this place sooner! Read more
