Reviews for Old Faithful Snow Lodge Geyser Grill in Yellowstone National Park, WY
This is a reasonably priced burger joint for the location. The fries were fresh and hot. The chili was good. The only thing... which detracted from a higher rating was the Cheeseburger could have been hotter. There are two important things to remember ifdining here over noon time or early evening. The rush from Old Faithful is huge post-geyser. Either eat 30-40 minutes before itgoes off or come over directly post geyser. There will be a line, but it will not be as bad. Seating is Bistro style. Great for a quick bite! Ample amount of seating area. Pocket friendly. We found a couple of vegetarian options. We had garbanzo... beans falafel cakes and black bean burger with fries. The falafel cakes tasted like thalipeeth. Food had great taste! Read more
Relatively affordable and fast are the advantages of this food 'outlet'. The fries were good. Staff were friendly and... efficient. My bison bratwurst wasn't hot, the decor is institutional, the green chick pea option was a box of cold patties (wetook them home to our campsite and fried them, making them delicious). Burgers lacked any personality. If you're caught out andreally really need a hot meal, do it. Otherwise, gnaw on your shoe, get a sandwich in your room or walk another loop of theboardwalk and wait for a later time slot in the dining room. Read more
I was feeling brave and got the chili dog. Much to my surprise it was great!! I added some chopped onions they had out by the... condiments. My wife got a little spinach salad. It was small but good and the kids both got the burger. Despite what it lookedlike they enjoyed it and said it tastes good. Read more
Thought it may be cool to eat at Yellowstone. Overall it was a decent experience. Had a gentleman come over and check on the... food and how we were doing. Ordering was easy and there was even a decent gluten free bun option that the person in my groupreally liked (typically she does not like gluten free buns). So that was a plus. I don?t know for sure if the burgers arefrozen, pre-formed meat patties, but I can say the burgers remind me of the ones you get at summer camp. Bland, a bit dry.IYKYK ????. They weren?t very warm either. I will say there was a microwave towards the back near the second soda fountain.Reheating helped a little. When requested, no pickles were granted which is something I like to have as a part of the veggies. Iwas told the burger options come pre prepared, and you (as the customer) take off what you don?t want. So that wasn?t myfavorite, especially given the burger were a bit dry (camp analogy). By the time the burgers were warmed up in the microwave, add ketchup/mustard/mayo and some salt/pepper (obviously what ever combo you like as the reader of this on condiments andveggies-but not pickles ????????), then burger wasn?t bad. I did really like the fries. The ends of the fries still had thepotato skins. For me, I do really like skins on my fries. To sum up, not 5 star worthy experience. I am still glad we gave it atry. Something different is always fun to me. Having said that, I can?t really walk away from this meal bragging with, ?gottaeat here?. Pricing is reasonable. Added the receipt to give an idea of cost. It was pretty busy here when we came at the end of May. The food was okay to good and wasn't super hot, but there is a microwave... in the dining area, so we just heated our food to our temp preferences. The person maintaining the dining room was doing agreat job. Lots of turn over on the tables and he was keeping that dining room in good shape. Read more
