We stayed at Grant Village for four nights and ate at the Grant Village Dining room one evening and every day for breakfast. The... staff was great although over worked. The inside of the restaurant is gorgeous, the food was really good and the location is perfect overlooking the lake. Service was... a little questionable, but I assume it was because I was a single person taking up a table, and the server wanted the table toflip. Didn't make eye contact with me once, and our only conversations were when I placed my order, the follow-up after the foodcame, and to bring check .. just not very friendly. I had better and more friendly service from the girls who were refillingeveryone's drinks... They were great. I would recommend this place to others, but only if there's more than 1 person. BAD MANAGEMENT!!! If you're coming to Yellowstone, be aware that very few restaurants are even open. The sign on the door to... this one said Dinner starting at 5pm. So we waited over an hour waiting for it to open, thinking we would have a sit-down meal.Boy were we wrong as were at least 30 other people! A manager came over from the hotel and unlocked the door. We were one of thefirst there at opening after waiting....only to find out you have to have a reservation! No signage indicating this and nothingon any of the websites saying this either. How do you make a reservation in a park with little to no cell service?! Themanager's response was he had 300 hotel guests coming. I could see the reservation page. Most of the reservations were crossedoff! The whole place was empty and he was turning away about 50 people willing to eat now! The perception I got was unless youwere a hotel guest in his hotel you were on your own. I have no idea if the food was even decent but with this treatment theyaren't getting any of my patronage! Most of the restaurants have limited service or are closed. I know that the flood damageclosed 2 entrances but 3 are open. Pitiful. Read more

We had dinner here last night on the first day Yellowstone reopened after the historical flooding. We did not have high... expectations going in after reading some of the reviews. We were really delighted with the warm service and great food. Nocomplaints at all. The sunset view from the lake is so peaceful. Read more

We had read earlier in the reviews that the food here is not great; but we had a very different experience. Service and food,... both were amazing. We got the following items - Cocktail - whiskey sour Appetizers - hummus (very nice, mixed with somecucumber tomatoes etc and fried chickpeas that add to the flavor and texture) Entrees- Spinach ravioli, roasted chicken breast,and fresh Arctic char (my favorite among the entrees). We really enjoyed the dinner, so much so that although we were quitefull we made some room for dessert as it looked really yummy. Our server had suggested trying their popular chocolate lava cakewith vanilla ice cream. It indeed was delicious. So I highly recommend stopping by here for dinner. We had dinner at the OldFaithful inn the night before and I did not like it as much as this place. Hope you have a nice and warm experience and a yummymeal here too. Read more

Only restaurant opened in Grant Village. The burgers looked really good. Dinner served until 10pm. Breakfast at 630am take out... available. Fair beer selection. We stood outside while drinking our beer and saw two large elk graze on by. Read more
