Me and my girlfriend ate here and I have been waiting to take time on this review. When you first walk in the atmosphere is... excellent and the people are great. Beers are cold and the food is nice and hot like it should be. I'd assume I went on a badday and will give it another go but the fish I had was horrible and same for my girlfriend. I catch and eat fish all the timeand have never had it smell bad or twist my stomach. They have a sign for kitchen help wanted so I hope that resolves the issue.I will go again though. Take a step back in time with this gorgeous Midwestern buffet style restaurant. From the antique interior to the homemade food,... this is your grandma's cookin'!! The staff were friendly, although they appeared frustrated at times with each other on thefront end. They appear to do a ton of to go orders as well. We googled places to eat in Yankton since we are from out of town and we read the reviews of other places and this place came... up with good reviews. We walked in and were seated immediately, our sever was very nice? let me tell you about the FOOD!!! Weordered the the chicken drummers and mozzarella sticks you could feed a family of 4 with just the appetizers. Absolutely FABULOUS start to finish! Great, excellent customer service and super friendly staff. Went on the seafood night, ... great choices like cod, catfish, shrimp prepared two way, crab and salmon plus all the the usual comfort food offerings. Such a hidden gem! Visually this place is busy with all the interesting decor and I love it! You can either choose from their... large buffet options or cook to order items. And let me tell you the 16oz Ribeye or $23.99 was fantastic! Service wasexceptional and I'm almost certain there were more people constantly cleaning then there were patrons dining. Very cool little spot! Great service and atmosphere. Prices were great! I had a steak, and although it was not the worlds... best steak ever, it was still pretty darn good. Good options at the salad bar and your second beer for 25 cents...well yeah. Nothing wrong with that at all. Read more
