Great food, smiling staff, and really clean! Generous portions! Maybe some of the best fried okra I?ve ever had. Back to being... clean, these wood tables were not filmy or sticky. The bbq sauce bottles on the tables were not gunky. The ladies bathroom wasvery clean! For a bbq joint in an older downtown spot, I was super (and pleasantly) surprised. I saw Bold BBQ Pit on Facebook...They had me at SAMMICH! ???? (It's a Southern thing - just ask!) The menu selections are... plentiful, and I suggest viewing them beforehand to avoid holding up the line if you're visiting in-person. Indecision andhunger don't mix. I went for the smoked meatloaf (available on Thursdays this month, and sells out quickly!) It was delicious,with cheesy potatoes and green beans. If you're a dessert fan, good luck deciding what to get! ???? I chose the chocolate chipcookie, but the peach cobbler WILL make you slap ya neighbor with no regrets... We used Bold catering for our Anniversary Party. Our party was about 45 people. Everyone raved about the food. There wasn't much... left at the end of the night. Several people said they went back for seconds. They were on time, very professional and didn'tforget anything. They laid everything out perfect. The staff were very nice and friendly. I had a sammich with lemonade and salad. Also tried the fried okra and was delicious!
I was pretty disappointed in the food here which is a true shame because the atmosphere was great. The place is cozy and has a... really cool superhero scavenger hunt for kids to do around the building. Staff was super friendly and the place was veryclean. For the food I got sliced brisket with potato salad and coleslaw. The soda fountain has some local company soda which iscool but most of the flavors were not very good. Cream soda was great. The brisket was top notch meat but that was the only partof the meal that I enjoyed. The BBQ sauce is very smokey to the point of being bitter. The coleslaw was dry enough to be closerto a salad than coleslaw and the potato salad was very bland. This place runs a good business but the food was just not my cupof tea. Read more

Such wonderful people, great atmosphere, and grooving music from Jay Cober and the Backline on our most recent visit. Meats... aren't heavily smoked, which is preferable to some less-Texan palettes.
