Came at around 8:40 tonight, 20 minutes before the posted close time of 9pm (both on their website and on the window) and the... door was locked and the open sign was turned off. I?ve been going here for years. The last year I?ve been disappointed. Prices have gone up and quality has gone down. Everyone... has a bad day so I get I might have a bad experience here and there but after today I will not be back. I ordered the same Alohabowl I?ve ordered for years; it was liquidy with chunks of frozen fruits here and there, there was a tiny amount of bananaslices and when I asked for a little extra honey, it was basically smothered. The actual açaí was was less than half full andwhen I said something the girl said ?it just depends on what bowl you get? like i said earlier I?ve gotten this same bowl many,many times I?d have to disagree with her on that. Not sure if the workers just don?t care or if the owner is being cheap but foran $11 bowl I?d expect more. I recommend Adapt or sundays! They are around the same price and have much more included. My experience was fine at Surfberry but the lady at the cashier was quite rude to her coworker. I think the cashiers name was... Taryn/Taren. As Taryn was taking my order, she was glaring and making mean comments towards another girl. I found it completelyunkind to treat others this way, especially the people you work with. The coworker doing her best but Taryn didn't see that. Myfood was fine but I was suggest hiring more kind hearted and hard working coworker. Read more
Clean facility, bicycle parking and handicap parking available. Prices are a little on the high end. Staff is friendly and... helpful. The smoothie was good, nothing to write home about but also not awful. A nice stop while biking or walking the loop. Read more
Surfberry will always be one of my favorite places to grab an acai bowl. I found this gem while I was living in Wilmington and I... will always go back when I am in town. The little store offers acai bowls, smoothies, milkshakes, frozen yogurt, coffee, andjuices. Everything offered there is also given out in great sizes, not too much, but not too little. My favorite bowl is thenutty bowl, but I get it with peanut butter instead of honey and it is to die for! Read more
Surfberry is this little gem on Causeway Dr., just after passing over the bridge into Wrightsville Beach. I was hungry, but not... starving, and wanted to enjoy something fresh and clean that would set well on my stomach this afternoon. FOOD: The MermaidPitaya Bowl with added Coconut and Mangoes. The Mermaid bowl included a chilled Pitaya puree buried under a heap of freshfruit. Mangoes, strawberries, coconut and bananas all artistically situated on the top. Add that drizzled honey to the mix andyou have a tropical explosion in your mouth. The natural juices of each fruit, creates a symphony inside the small pond ofdragonfruit. So amazingly clean and good!! SCORE: 5 STARS!! SERVICE: Since this was my first time visiting, I kept an openmind with no certain expectations. After placing my order at the juice bar, it took approximately 10 minutes to receive mybowl. $12 & 10 minutes is an acceptable time & value if you are served something incredible. Surf Berry came through. Theservice was very good and each staff member was friendly and accomodating. The young barista who initially took my order was anewer-hire and immediately sought advice from another teammate about what to recommend, once I asked for their suggestion. Theother young lady assisted swiftly and was able to find a solution that defined teamwork. 5 STARS!! OVERALL SCORE: Theseflavors are wild all together, giving you that taste of a tropical paradise. Nothing canned, everything prepared fresh by thebaristas just behind the juice bar and delivered up as if it's being presented at the Cameron Art Museum.
