Incredible food and service! The wait staff, chef, and owners are such kind-hearted people. I had lunch and dinner here during... my recent visit to Wilmington. For dinner, we had the calamari, fried okra, lobster Mac, and surf and turf. A few days later forlunch, we had the seafood nachos and black eyed peas. The food is local and so fresh. This dog-friendly restaurant is truly a gem. Outdoor seating is dog-friendly so you can dine with your pup. We ordered the Benne... Shrimp and the Azalea Garden Wrap. Both were delicious. Service was great! Read more
We ordered the seafood nachos as an appetizer and it was delicious! It?s a small portion but enough for the four of us. The fish... tacos were great and the fish of the day on them was grouper. The calamari was also delicious and made a great meal! We hope togo back again soon! Read more
Ordered the fish and chips and my friend ordered the shrimp tacos. Both meals were delicious, although mine was a bit too salty.... Great service, very quick and staff was friendly. The restaurant could use a bit of a freshen up, especially the bathrooms, butit's a small complaint. Did not detract from the overall great experience. Read more
Went for a late lunch about 2:30pm. We were the only people for a while, but that's okay. Service was attentive but not over... bearing. We started with the Sea-cuterie that had old bay shrimp, fresh crab salad, gouda and a hot honey sauce. It wasdelicious ????. The crab salad was all fresh crab and so lightly dressed it was crab forward. The spicy honey sauce wasfantastic on everything, even the apples and pickled onions. I had the oyster platter with slaw and chips. The oysters wereplump and so juicy. They were perfectly fried and the tartar sauce had a good citrus note to go with them. My husband had theMahi Mahi tacos. There were large pieces of perfectly cooked Mahi that glistened when you bit into it. The salsa on top wasbright and full of flavor. A must-visit while in WB. We loved dinner so much we went back the next day for lunch. the food is truly 5-star, some items a... little pricey but hey everything is these days. Whining about it in reviews doesn't help local businesses like this that aretrying to keep their heads above water. The shrimp and grits is awesome, uniquely prepared. Our favorite was the 'sea-cuterie'platter, everything house-cured and house-made. We'll be back every time we're in Wrightsville. Read more
Great little spot only a few minute walk to the beach that offers a variety of fresh seafood options. The waitress was very nice... and accommodating and it was a perfect day to dine outside. I ordered the fried fish platter. I was impressed with thefreshness of the shrimp and the amount of batter on them. The coleslaw and tarter sauce both lacked flavor but the cocktailsauce was delicious and had a nice bite to it. I would order it again if I went back and think it's a great spot for people wholike fried seafood and want something less expensive but still just as tasty. Read more
I normally visit SBG for the seafood nachos when I'm in town visiting family. This time around I wanted to try something... different. To begin with, Gladys was an amazing server and very accommodating of some food allergies in our party (as was thekitchen)! My mom and I opted to split the Sweet Potato Flounder and were absolutely in love with the flavor. The rice and greenbeans were equally delicious. We also got an order of okra frites (sans chili oil and garlic) for the table to share. It was allso good that my mom and I ordered the exact same dish the following night for take out (pictured). Normally when I'm in town, Idon't visit a restaurant twice because of limited time to enjoy all my local favorites. SBG was so amazing, delicious, and freshthat I couldn't help but order again!
