Came here very hungry and almost left by rolling out the door. Very good food, top notch service (Erin M. was one of the best... servers I have ever met) and a great atmosphere. I do suggest having clips for the paper that the hush puppies come on so thepaper doesn?t blow away and maybe converting from plastic to paper straws. My best friend from high school surprised me today at work. We came here and had the best service and excellent lunch. I asked... the waiter Ash to order me his favorite. It was amazing, Crab cake sandwich. I normally don?t eat that. They have had badreviews in the past but they are spot on now. Awesome day! Read more
Stopped for lunch here and so glad we did. Lovely to sit by the water and eat delicious food. We loved the sun-kissed shrimp... appetizer. Also shared the Caesar salad, a flounder platter, and a shrimp platter. Fresh and tasty. We weren?t in any rush thatday, but I did deduct one star because it took a bit for a server to greet us once seated; again, it was no big deal for us, butmay matter to other patrons more pressed for time. Nice place, not overly expensive. A little wait on Tuesday evening. Ordered 2 mixed drinks and 2 entrees, approximately $80.... Pretty limited menu, more selection of drinks then anything. Drinks were very good. My boyfriend liked his shrimp and grits, mychicken and rice could have used a little more flavor. I ordered the chicken, potatoes and asparagus. I substituted theasparagus for rice, but didn't get any potatoes. We also didn't get our order of hush puppies until we reminded our server, andthey were brought as we were finishing our meal. Not a bad experience, but also, not planning on going back anytime soon. Thebeautiful ocean view and Crystal Pier is the main attraction, imo. Read more
Wow. This was an exquisite experience. The exterior, the interior, the lighting, the ambience, the staff- everything was... immaculate. The menu was different for my tastebuds but I got a pretty good dish. The food was well seasoned and it did not takelong to be served. Also, you are literally over looking the beach! Great food, great experience. Be prepared to wait for a table, but it's worth it! Oceanic has it's own dock, so take a stroll... out there or along the beach while you wait. The views within the restaurant are amazing too, with a full 180? view of the beachand pier. Try the she-crab soup, a specialty of this restaurant that's been around forever! They also have their own designatedparking lot which is very helpful on Wrightsville. Read more
What a great experience! Our server Joe was helpful, patient and made us feel very comfortable. Service was timely, food was... great and the atmosphere is friendly. They said 30 minute wait but it was less. They have a text service to let you know whenyour table is ready which is great if you want to walk the beach while you wait. This was highly recommended to us by some local friends, who probably love it for the view more than the food. The view is... amazing, for sure. The service was very timely and attentive. But the food was OK at best, and my wife's order took 3 tries toget right. We were early on a Thursday night and it wasn't busy. The view saved it somewhat, but I would recommend elsewherefor the money and it's not the only place with a view. Read more
