This is a great pier for a view anytime of the year and anytime of day. With the ability to rent fishing poles on site and... licensing fees included for 8$ each it's the cheapest and most convenient way to fish if you are visiting from out of state.Bait and tackle as well as much more is available to buy at the shop making this a all in one package for most of your beach andfishing needs. I absolutely love going to the peir. Johnnie Mercers pier is family friendly which I love cause it gives us time to take our 3... kids out fishing. The staff there are always friendly, helpful, and love to get to know the regulars. Ziggy was extremelyhelpful when it came to me getting my annual pass. My family loved coming here, we had a lot of fun. There is great parking it does cost money to park up to $25 for the entire... day. It helps keep the parking lots nice and facilities for public access. The pier was nice we didn't go on it this time but itis a nice spot to shelter under. Food, fishing, fishing supplies and more at the store. Wings is right across the street too.Love their sand sculptures I hope they continue to do these because it makes them so unique. Read more

Such a beautiful spot and view we went around 7pm and left about 10pm. We were just walking around and exploring I have 3... daughters so we hunted for shells and looked at the wood to see the little sea barnicals and what I think are snails. And justenjoyed the view. Read more

Nice fishing pier, free parking would be nice too, lol. Good variety, basic needs and souvenirs inside the store/grill. I think... it was only a couple of dollars to walk out on the pier and $8 for each of us to fish with one rod. Read more

Beautiful long pier made of cement! To be able to walk over the ocean and view it's gorgeous turquoise color is... breathtaking. FYI: You have to pay $2 to walk on the pier but the receipt is good for 24 hours. Read more

I love the concrete pier. Makes me feel a bit safer than the wood ones. Workers inside always seem very nice. Prices are... reasonable for fishing. Do wish it offered a bit more in entertainment. Clean beach with ample space. We went to see sunrise and it was awesome. Don?t find any restaurants in the pier. Looks like it?s... a famous place for surfing as well. We didn?t find any showers in the beach but might be there in the far side. Lots of peopledo fishing from the pier. Parking is available in the public access area but they are paid ones. Don?t find any otherattractions near by but the beach itself is good for family. Read more
