It's called 'WORCESTERS BEST' for a reason because it is the BEST! Hands down! I'm a hard sell when it comes to pizza but... Frankie knows how to make a PIZZA that u will leave u dreaming it about until u have again! My absolute FAVORITE and I telleverybody far and wide about i! Barely go out of my way to leave reviews but man I had to tosay. Saw Dave Portnoy review this place and happen to work in... Worcester so had to go check it out with my brother. My guy was under the gun in the review with Phantom Gourmet and Dave beingthere at this same time, this is definitely not a 7.7/10. Easily an 8.4/10 and one of the best pizzas I?ve ever had. Got out to Frankie's for the second time. Is it the best pizza I've ever had? No. Is it the best pizza in Worcester? Yes.... Expensive pies, although Tuesdays are BOGO free on 18" pies. Today was a Tuesday so I ordered an Angry Samoan and an ElPresidente. The angry is basically a Hawaiian with onion and jalapeno added. It was good but could have used a little moretoppings. El pres is a cheese pizza, and it was tasty but could have used a few extra seconds in the oven. The taste of thecheese really reminds me of pizzas you would get in New York. Very good blend. I tried frankies a month ago and we've had it three times since. Not the usual greasy Greek pizza, the pizza is a NY style but... not as greasy(as u can tell i don't like greasy pizza). You have to try the ckn parm sub a very different but pleasant take on aclassic. You just have to try you won't b let down. Read more
After reading all the reviews, we just had to try this pizza. We were not disappointed! Back to that in a... sec? DISCLAIMERS: This is not last minute pizza. I ordered online at 2:48pm on a Saturday afternoon and they said it would beready at 4:06pm. (I arrived around 4:20pm and was in and out with no wait.) This is not cheap pizza. For a medium (18?) pie with3 toppings, I paid ~$28. There?s not much waiting room, and there?s no seating or restrooms, so plan ahead and don?t get theretoo early. All of that said, it?s worth every minute of waiting snd every penny I paid! This is excellent pizza! The crust issuper thin with slightly thicker chewy edges (when cooked to medium temp). The medium cooking temp left the bottom plentyfoldable - not overly crispy. The balance of crust to sauce to toppings to cheese was perfect. The sauce is a perfect, simple,tomato sauce. The sausage and pepperoni had a surprising spice level. We found the 18? medium el presidente to be a perfect sizefor 2 adults (with a few slices leftover). The pizza is alright. Definitely wouldn?t say Worcester?s best. It reminds me of papa Gino?s a little bit. You?ll wait awhile... for it too. 15$ for the small but the small is actually a large, medium is XL, L is Enormous? I called ahead of time it, andthe lady was nice said it?d be about an hour wait. I had read the other reviews prior so I had a feeling what was coming next. Igo to pick it up after waiting the hour and it?s not ready. All in all was about 1hr 40min after I called to get thepizza. Pizza is very good and the large is LARGE!! Also had grandmother's pie with vodka sauce and really liked it! Just be prepared to... WAIT. Ordered around 3/3:30 knowing this. Was updated via ordering online it would be ready at 5:10 pm (we expected this) butwhen my husband went to pick up at 5:30 pm, was told it would be at least another 30 minutes. Thank goodness we live close by,and they did give us a call when it was ready which was nice. Read more
I ?? Frankie's, Worcester's Best Pizza. Passing through town and went a little out of my way to try it for the first time. Got a... small for lunch and let me say, you get some incredible value for $14.95. Had a meat Lover's, Pepperoni, Bacon and Sausage.Great combo, toppings tasted great. Just wish the pepperoni was on top, not buried under the cheese. Could have used a littlemore cheese. Sauce had a nice tang, good Italian seasonings. Crust had a nice crunch, a little flop. Solid pie, I'd be back formore if I lived closer. 7.5 stars, Google 4. Maybe higher if you consider the value. Read more
