Whenever we drive down from NJ to NC, Woodstock is our midpoint lunch stop. After dining twice at the Cracker Barrel, we decided... to give Paisano?s a try. Even tho they are an Italian restaurant, we came for the seafood and Paisano?s did not disappoint.Wonderful flavors in their crab cakes, the steamed mussels, and the seafood platter. The clam chowder is thick and hearty. Thepizza is a traditional wood-fired oven pizza that was hot topped with gooey mozzarella. The wine was surprisingly delicious too.And the service? Nothing to complain about there. Our meals came timely even though only one server covered the entirerestaurant during the lunch hour. Don?t let the humble location fool you into thinking it?s a run-of the-mill pizza joint in astrip mall with a so-so pit stop menu. Even the ambience inside will transport you to a small Italian town where you dine withAl Martini crooning O Sole Mio in the background. There?s a reason the place gets packed in the evenings.
