We recently moved to Woodstock and received a warm welcome by the owner of this place.We ordered sweets and were delighted to... have them.Sweets needless to say were super tasty.We ordered (vegetarian and non vegetarian) food for 40-50 people gathering andall of our guests appreciated the food. This is our second time having takeout from here we loved it the first time and couldn?t wait to return to try more options! We... got the chicken curry, saffron chicken, chicken korma, plain Nann and kutcha. We had never had the kutcha before definitely anew fav, a mix of yummy Nann with veggie stuffing so tasty! The saffron curry has a sweet creamy flavour which we asked forspicy and that gave the sweet spicy element, the chicken curry was a solid curry great spice and flavour! Also the tandoorichicken tikka was so good I always love a good char. I would absolutely put this place as a must try!For the price and amount offood we got it?s well worth it. Also to note the staff and owners I?ve met have been so kind , informative and helpful. Bonus isthe sweet treat options! The food here is amazing!! The staff have always been very gracious and friendly. The service is very quick and space always... clean and tidy. I usually post reviews when I either significantly like or dislike services! I had tried and been ordering food from Tandoori... Delight until someone told me about Indian Zaika, and from that day, I never went back to other Indian restaurants intown! Folks working in India Zaika are super welcoming, and their food is outstanding! I had tried many, many dishes, but theone that grabbed my particular attention was the Kadhai Panner that we customized and got exactly what we ordered! AnotherIndian restaurant in town usually uses the same gravy for almost every paneer dish, so I never felt any difference. Had a bit of a confusing experience here. It?s advertised as DINE IN on google, their website, and their flyers, yet there?s not... a single seat or table in or outside of this restaurant, it?s take out only. The food portions are quite small considering theprices. Along with the fact that naan or rice is extra. And our naan was burnt black in some places. Ordered a chocolatemilkshake, which was just a chocolate milk with cheap tasting chocolate sauce, to me a milkshake should be thick and creamy,this was watery, and 5.99!!! Our food order was actually delicious, I did find my mild chicken Tikka masala to be overly greasy,and could?ve had more chicken, but the chicken was cooked to perfection. Very juicy. The spinach goat dish was also great!Ordered spicy but it wasn?t much spicer than the mild dish. Food was also prepared very hot and fresh. Overall, I won?t becoming back here until I try other Indian restaurants in the area to see if there?s something better. Date night had a bump init because this place is advertised as dine in and it?s just not.
