Good food, great ambiance, lighting etc. Horrible customer service! If it wasn't for the manager/bartender we would of left. We... had a reservation for 8:00pm didn't get seated until 8:30pm because we had to wait on another group to get done eating, onceseated one side of our group was served while the other side wasn't. We had 2 servers. the other part of our group was givensalad and soup before they even got drinks. Can be a great place if they work on customer service. Read more
**UPDATED** "Lina" was manager on duty that helped with refund for overcharge and she was very helpful and professional. She... also expressed apology for the gap in service. Some faith restored as result of her, so I am updating to 3-stars. *ORIGINALPOST* I have dined here multiple times and always had a decent experience. Unfortunately, this past Fathers Day was less thanstellar. The waitress was completely inattentive and never revisited us after the initial drink delivery. My granddaughters mealwas not even placed so our entire party was done with their Hibachi cooked meals before she even got her meal. When reminded byour cook, she got an attitude. When we approached the manager on duty, she too was short and lacked any empathy. We neverreceived so much as an apology for the poor service. To add insult to injury, I realized today (3-days later) that they chargedmy credit card for $36.21 more than by printed receipt amount (doubled the tip, which she deserved zero of in the first place).I have called and spoken with manager on duty today and will report back if/how they solve. Suffice to say, I am verydisappointed with Volcano as a former repeat customer. Customer service matters and if your employees don't like their job,they should get a new one. P.S. Amazing showmanship by every hibachi chef. The food is prepared right in front of you. The vegetables were incredible.
First Timer! The service was really slow to get to us at first but once they finally came it was good. We ordered garlic... edamame, chicken fried rice, shrimp fried rice, and mango bubble tea. My brother chose Volcano for his birthday dinner. We had a great time! Our server was courteous and patient with us as we... decided what to order. I had the Pink Lady sushi on her suggestion and really enjoyed it! I also had the combination hibachidinner with chicken and shrimp. Everything was great and we really enjoyed our time here. I can?t believe how bad this place has become, it use to be good. Ordered the lo mein noodles with shrimp and it was terrible. ... It was nothing more but a pile of noodles that were so thin it was like angel hair pasta. It came with no vegetables but a fewslices of onions, tiny shrimp which were very tough, they tasted like they were frozen. I had to ask for a side of vegetablesfor an extra $2.50 bringing the cost to over $16. At the beginning I contemplated ordering sushi rolls but was shocked at howexpensive they were. Not going back. My first time here, I was very pleased. Prices were very reasonable and good portions. The atmosphere was nice and the quality... of the sushi was excellent. Not like the ones you get at these buffet places where it tastes like it was frozen. Service wasvery good. I will definitely return. Especially 1/2 price sushi Sunday! Read more
Came here to order hibachi and a sushi roll. Hibachi was a good experience. Our chef was funny and conversational. Our waitress... was awful. Mean and dry and cold. This was amplified when we got a bad sushi roll. The first bite of sushi tasted wrong. As weall know eating bad sushi can be the worst and can make you sick. So we didn?t eat the rest and gave it back saying it tastedbad. Scared to order more sushi we said we would just take the hibachi instead. She got really mad at us and said there were norefunds. I didn?t spent a lot of energy on it cus it was date night. We share the hibachi and when we went to pay the sushi rollstill on there. I asked her to take it off and she said should could not because we took a bite already. In the nicest waypossible i reminded her that the only way I could know it tasted bad was to take a bite. She stormed away to her manager. Hermanager gave me the same story but said she would make an exception for us. Normally they don?t do refunds and that the sushican?t be bad because they just made it. Not wanting to provoke the situation any further I accepted the refund disengaged. Shedidn?t want to hear my perspective. I paid the bill and left a 10% tip due to rude service.
