I came in with an open mind hoping the bad reviews weren?t true because I had just gone to another Firehouse in AL. The one AL... was amazing, this one, not so much. My coworker and I ordered lunch here. My sandwich at least had the correct fixings, but the bread was so stale that it was hard... as a rock. It was like trying to choke down a mouthful of saltine crackers with no water. Her sandwich was ordered with extrapepper jack cheese and NO mayonnaise. Instead, they slathered the sandwich in mayonnaise and did not include any pepperjackcheese which she paid extra for. When she called the store they asked her to bring the sandwich back, and they would remake itfor her. I got the hook and ladder and it made me very ill. It took me a few days to recover. Not sure what they could?ve done wrong with... this sandwich but it was nonstop barf city. The place was pretty dirty and there were hand prints all over the glass door, theyobviously hadn?t cleaned it in weeks much less sanitize in the middle of a COVID wave. It's a subs joint. No big deal. Prices are just a tad much, but if I had to choose between this and Subway? Firehouse every... time, for me. The staff on duty that night were all college kids, and to their credit they actually made it fun. One wasdesperately trying to figure out how to close a sandwich that had far too much meat, while another cracked puns nonstop, and thethird quietly did her work with a warm smile. Read more

Tried to overcharge for extra meat then serve me reduced meat when I asked the manager how much double meat costs. Got a medium... Italian. Ask for double meat and the one sandwich alone was $18. The cashier was trying to charge me $3 for ham, another $3 forpepperoni, and another $3 for salami. I told him that was wrong and he said "no it isnt".
