Fantastic location for a Fantastic restaurant! I had the Fajita Salad and my kids had the Cheese Quesadillas.

I walk in and look around to order. A guy behind the bar looks up at me and then keeps talking to a guy at the bar whose drink... is empty and plate is empty. I?m wondering who can I order with. He finally drags over to ask do I want a booth. I let him knowI wanted a to go order and he was kinda rude. The prices on the menu were lower and and I asked about it and he just kept sayinga higher price. Nothing about lunch or dinner prices. I changed my order due to the price which went higher again. He startedspeaking in Spanish with the guy at the bar and mentioned my order. Then he and the guy went to the table to talk about my orderwith a group of workers. Didn?t say how long the food would take just walked away. Greeted people that came in behind me butnot me. The food was good the service was not. He was not friendly from the start. This place was outstanding! We usually go to a different Mexican restaurant and I'm generally hesitant to check out new ones... because a lot of them are quite bland, however... this is a diamond in the rough. The food was fresh. Their salsa is somethingto write home about, it has a ton of flavor. I had beef tacos and a taco salad with chicken, and both were fantastic. My husbandloved his fish tacos. We let the manager know how blown away we were with the service and food, and he had our waitress comeback to us with a free shot of tequila each! Yikes. Have been wanting to try it for quite some time and what a letdown. Salsa was mediocre, chips were so thick and stale... without even a hint of salt. We debated leaving on that alone. How do you screw up fish tacos? Ask these folks. Dry fish, flatand unseasoned "breading" topped with over mayo'd purple slaw. Where is the crunch? The lime? The heat? The flavor? Hubs got thechurrasco and it was SWIMMING in grease. The chimmichurri was actually pretty good but it couldn't save the bland piece of meat.Rice was dry and unseasoned. Black beans were straight from a can with no dressing up. Best part of the entire meal were themaduros. Tried 3 different margs between us and they all tasted pretty much the same.Watermelon, blood orange and jalepeno wereall heavy with sweet mixers and muddled in flavors. What a way to start a shopping ???? trip..The food was perfect for me...the customer service was top notch..

How disappointing. I have been here before and received excellent service. Maybe today is their off day? I showed up at 2 PM. I... sat down at the bar. I waited 15 minutes. Not one person greeted me or even acknowledged me. I even asked the bartender was itokay if I sit here and he said yes. Again nobody came up to me to take my order or anything. I got up to walk out and walked outvery slow and deliberately. Not one person said aware to me and I left the restaurant. They were moderately busy it was not asif they were packed. I?m sure they?re short staffed like Minnie and I give them a little bit of leeway because of that. But notto even acknowledge a customer that walks in the door with money ready to spend?
