Alright here we go... so when you think of Woodland Park there's no way that you'd think there'd be authentic Mexican food here,... i was quite skeptical.. to be clear, I'm a Latina from So Cal and it's extremely HARD to find authentic Mexican cuisine here inColorado Springs or any mountain area. With that said, the ONLY reason why I'm not giving these guys a 5 stars is because Ihonestly thought the prices were a little too high for the plates.. BUTTTT the atmosphere is great, they have Mexican artwork,decor and pictures up. They got a little cute bar setup and tv set up. The staff was friendly and I expected to find Caucasianteens working here (nothing wrong with tha but we WERE in Woodlad Park) but you got a Hispanic staff here, the lady in the frontwas lovely and friendly. If I were to come back here it would be once in a blue moon because of the prices but it's definitely a spot to check out if you crave Mexican. Waited too long for our food to come out, way more than 40 mins, my husband got a quesadilla, I think it was beef and I got the... tilapia Puebla. Food is not good and I think it?s too expensive, you can see the picture attached it?s worth $20 and myhusband?s and same price. Total for 1 sitting is $50 without any drinks I finished my food because I was so hungry (I don?teven want to think what is the taste anymore cause I know it will take longer if I order another dish) specially we waitedalready for so long ???? my husband don?t like his food but he just eat it because same reason he is hungry? but it?s grosssloppy quesadilla we just thought it was really slow service even there is only 2 tables including ours. Waitress was friendly and attentive. Food was fresh and delicious. The cheese enchiladas were very good! I am from Texas and... love HOT so we ordered the "extra hot" salsa (they give you the regular salsa with the chips) and it was so good.... and hadsome great kick! This is a hard post since we just got back from a trip to south Texas and had occasion to also visit a Mexican border town. Had... wonderful Mexican food there. This is not to say that Serrano's isn't good! It was just hard not to compare taste and especiallythe price! Went on taco Tuesday and ordered a total of 6 tacos at $2/each. Totally expected full-sized tacos but what came tothe table were mini-tacos - two bites each. Thank goodness we were there just for a snack! They must get a reaction often as theserver came back to the table and asked how many more we'd like. I would really like to support them and keep them in businessbecause it seems the family does a lot for the community, but, for us, the prices are too high. UPDATE: In response to the owner- This forum is used to express personal opinions, which is what was done. You're right that price comparison between southTexas and here is not fair and perhaps that was worded improperly. Still, expecting regular sized tacos and being served tinyones was a shock. I was visiting from Georgia. Good food and great service. Margaritas were on point. I ordered the shrimp fajitas. Only complaint... is that the shrimp had the tails on it. Would definitely come back again. In fact, I will tomo to order some street tacos fromtheir truck. Read more
