Our 1st time at Sammy's. We ordered a Large $18 appetizer of calamari. Said it was Flash Fried on menu. It got to the table... and was burned. Tasted like burned breading and nothing else. I told our server Celina that it was burned and we were notsatisfied. She asked if we wanted a fresh order? Our meals were coming at that point. The service was spotty at best. Sawmultiple staff eating with utensils and without at the drink station and then just go serve customers. Hygiene is Suspect atbest. Had to ask for a drink refill 45 minutes in to meal. Service was blah. My wife got basil chicken and liked it. I orderedthe stuffed rice ball and was totally disappointed. Not sure we will be back. Read more
We love Sammy?s!! The food is always fresh and hot, very flavorful too! We love that that have weekly/daily specials. There was... only ever one time that we waiting over an hour to be seated but it was very understandable and the staff was still pleasant asever!! My favorites are gnocchi with vodka sauce, the chicken Marsala, the caprese salad and the chicken paprikash soup! Read more
Salad was out of a bag and not very fresh and the bread felt and tasted like it was sliced and left laying on the counter all... day. I had the gnocchi with meat sauce, that was good. Glad we tried it, but not planning to go back. Read more
We just can not thank Sam, his staff, and family enough for always taking the time to help provide for our family during times... of happiness and also times of remembrance. Sam and his staff have helped cater multiple events for our family. Both at theirbeautiful restaurant in Woodhaven, Michigan and catered offsite, fully staffed with delivery. Sam and his staff are caring,attentive, and provide simply delicious authentic Italian food. We thank Sam and his staff for always going the extra mile,making it easy for us when our family gathers to remember a loved one who has passed. Came for a birthday party, the food was good nice variety, the salad was fresh lots of vegetables in it, the ranch dressing was... the best! The service was top notch! The servers kept the drinks full and the flow of the meal was perfect! Read more
I really like the atmosphere, lay back, elegant, cozy. Their food is always, always very tasteful, the portions are just right.... OMG Don't even get me started on the desserts. Not only is Sammy's a great family restaurant but it's also great for date night. Read more
We tried this place for the first time tonight and we were blown away. They made a mistake on the order and more than made up... for it. The food was absolutely amazing. We ordered pizza, lasagna, veal parmigiana, and some desserts. All of it was excellentand big portions. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Absolutely love this place . My favorite pizza is the loaded baked potato ! It's different and unique and delicious. I also... tried the chicken parm ! The ravioli with vodka sauce the chicken Alfredo and the chicken marsala . Can't go wrong with any ofthem !! Read more
