Staff was very friendly and helpful. Course was good shape especially after 5 days of rain. Green ran fast with a lot of break.... If the putt wasn't carrying enough speed by the it got the hole it will definitely break off dramatically. So playing below thehole ???? will help avoid 3 putts. I thought the fairways were in really good shape, really soft in some areas but that was tobe expected. They are reseeding the tee boxes so that was about the eye sore. A lot of them we were teeing of dirt so thatwasn't great but it is a well affordable public course so you know how tee boxes get abused. Pace of play was a tad slow but Ican say at times we were guilty of it too. A lot of blind shots so if you don't find the fairways and you don't play cart golfit may take a few minutes to locate your ball in some areas of the ruff, but we still kept up with the group in front of us. Alland all we had a good time and I recommend giving it a go. I'll be back for sure. Read more

Staff was very nice when my group showed up late due to my error. They were able to get us in the line up. Not a big fan of... some of the changes that have been made there. We have played there many times over the years and there where some cart pathson the course but many holes did not have continuous paths and it was never a problem. If it was wet you were asked to stay inthe rough. Now some of those holes are cart path only and it seemed it was the wider/longer holes. Made for a tough round dueto the heat. Hopefully the crabgrass problem was due to all the recent high temperatures we have had. I was sad to see thatthe big tree on hole 15 was removed as well as the rhododendrons along hole 4 tee box. I?m sure I will give the course anothertry sometime this year. Read more

Great experience! Starting with Dave in the pro shop being a genuine great guy, let me play a few holes for free. I traveled... from CT and felt very welcome at the course. The starter was just as accommodating, gave me a couple tips on some blind shotholes and off I went. The course has character and was fun to play; even with the recent aeration of the greens. Thanks againWestwood, appreciate the hospitality! Read more

I played 18 here for the first time today and I must say what an awesome experience! The guy in the pro shop was very courteous... and informative of the course and the starter was very nice and even let us tee off 20 minutes early which was great as far asthe course? Very challenging, short about 6,000 from the whites but will challenge you at every tee, only downside is the teeboxes are a little beat up and the greens are concrete but still an awesome round I shot 90 which im ecstatic about given thechallenging holes but definitely recommend this course for any skill golfer you won't regret it im definitely playing hereagain! Thanks Westwood! See ya next time. Read more

After the second whole (short par 4 - we waited for the group ahead to clear the green before teeing off, as recommended by the... pro shop), we were scolded by the ranger for slow play. The way were spoken to left us feeling disrespected. As for the course, many tee boxes are nothing but crab grass. Course generally not in great shape. The greens are fast and hilly, kinda nice. Ialso agree with many of the reviews about not being able to bring your own cooler. I always bring a small cooler with somewaters on ice. But here, with giant signs posted saying NO COOLERS, I left mine in the car and drank warm water bottlesthroughout the round. Unnecessary. Read more
