The chicken lo mein was bursting with flavor, it stayed hot until we opened the container at home. My sweet and sour chicken... was crispy on the outside and moist on the inside. Our rice was soft and steaming hot. The egg rolls had a thicker crunchyoutside and a warm filling. We found this place on Google Maps and read its reviews. We are both very impressed with House ofChou. We stopped buying this type of food because it was constantly overcooked and dry or greasy. We are very appreciative forthe owner and cooks as they really serve quality meals. We now have a new takeout option. Be careful when you order your food! Prices on their menus haven?t been updated in the last 2 years! On the front of the menu... they have a fine print that says to refer to their website for updated prices. I wasn?t able to see that fine print because theyhanded me the menu opened. I went in to place a take out order and was told it would take 15 mins. I left to go next door and came back and they gave my... order to someone else. Then they told me I had to wait another 20 mins so that they can remake my food. They seems rushed toreplace my order. Not one time was, I?m sorry was said. Once I got home and my family ate the food, nothing tasted right. When Icalled to complain to the owner, Lynn, she said she didn?t care. If I could give 0 stars I would. This is the BEST Chinese restaurant in Woodbridge. If you're craving I highly recommend coming here. It was my first time going... so my family and I tried a little of everything. The Wonton and Eggdrop soup was phenomenal. The General Tso's chicken wasamazing and the sauce on it was the perfect touch. Also had the shrimp lo mein, shrimp fried rice, and chicken pad thai. Before Covid, my wife and I ate here all the time. Last night, being in Woodbridge, I decided to stop here and get carryout. I... ordered Shrimp Fried Rice, Wings and Vegetable Rolls. The wings appeared to have been fried twice. They were dark and extrahard. We tossed them. The vegetable rolls were not crispy at all. They were mushy. We tossed them. The fried rice, which wasusually one of their best items, was sooo dry. Had we not traveled home to Manassas, I would have returned each item.
