I had lunch here last week. I ordered the chicken teriyaki plate and asked for extra rice. I was told it was a $1.50 charge. For... $1.50 I can buy a WHOLE bag of rice. Would it be too much to put an extra tablespoon of rice on my plate? That would make thedifference between coming back here or not. To top it off, they put rice on my dish and weighed it and put some rice back intothe rice cooker as it must have been over weight. Can you believe that? How cheap can you be as a restaurant owner to try tosave on rice? I sent my comments to their head office and to date, no one has replied. Their parent company is Innovative FoodBrands (IFB) in case they read this. Definitely not worth the $14+ that I paid. The place can also use a good cleaning as itdoesn't appear as though they clean it too often. Based on so many one-star reviews, head office should really step in and makesome changes if they want to protect their brand. Read more
Great place. Knowledgeable people. Love the baked goods, and my dehydrator is now running full time with apples.
This place is a disgrace to Japanese Culture. They do not use ramen noddle and called it Ramen, charged $15 for it. The noodle... was so overcooked, they just split when using chopstick. The broth was nothing special but bland. Read more
I normally love Teriyaki Experience, but this location was the worst. They cook using the Teriyaki sauce, rather than water,... which made the food extremely salty. Had to throw half of it out. Read more
Went to lunch to this place and they try to charge full price if I wanted a smaller portion. Makes no sense they weren?t even... trying to find a solution and wanted to charge more right from the beginning (I wanted less of everything in bowl - rice andchicken + vegetables). Owner (who is only one working always ) is the cashier cook and prep. Was rude and condescending to customers before me , and... when I gave him my order , I asked if he could wash his hands as he was touching everything , raw chicken, cash , cash registeretc. He refused to and answered with did you want me to shower too? When he finally "washed his hands " he just turned the tapwith his hands and just used water and wiped it off on his shirt. Which is a public health violation and he is proboblly evenmore cross contaminated after doing that. Long story short , if you are handling and preparing food , & being a cashier that isalready a problem. Secondly you are preparing and handling people's food , NO EXCUSE TO BE DIRTY and be arrogant whensomebody brings it up to your attention that's not how you treat your customers. 2 customers also agreed with me and told methey would never return. Of course I asked for a refund, Completely arrogant condescending and dirty human , no way I will eatfrom there. Read more
I 100% disagree with Alex Forward's review below with this place not being clean and staff not understanding English. This is... the best location I have been to from Scarborough all the way to Mississauga. Very generous portion, extra teriyaki saucewithout asking, very friendly service always, very clean and their English is just fine. It does get busy sometimes and you haveto wait, but that's because they're really good here in every way. Thank you guys for very tasty food and very clean friendlyservice. Read more
