It was the last night of the season and we got in because of a cancelation. The restaurant was booked and we went there for the... first time. We loved the atmosphere, which was eclectic and inviting. We were welcomed by a friendly staff. My husband had thepad thai, the best he has ever had! I enjoyed the chicken tikka masala, which was delicious with a side of rice. The side saladswere a nice portion, fresh, and came with tasty dressing choices. We shared the chocolate cake for dessert. Can't wait untilnext season! We'll bring friends there for dinners on the porch. Thank you, East of Suez! Read more

Price & portion size are great. Food we had was good. Great thing about this place is that you can BYOB and enjoy on the cover... porch. Read more

There's no clear hostess station where you would check in, which is confusing if you have not been there before. Appetizers and... salad were great! Service was incredibly slow, and we got there early in the evening. Really wanted to like it, but I don'tthink we will be going back. Read more

East of Suez is a comfortable restaurant serving Asian Fusion on Rt.28 in Wolfeboro. I want to give them 3 1/2 stars but google... won't do that. We were seated in the main room at the back in a nicely sunlit room with a lovely view of the back yard andwoods. Our waiter brought us the house "chips" which look like a fried foam. They are very tasty with a hint of shrimpflavor. East of Suez is BYOB and does not serve any alcohol, not even beer or wine. We did not know this and there is nomention of it on their website. Our waiter said they do provide setups and many of the other diners around us had wine andliquor. For starters we ordered the Summer Rolls which come with a "wild Gulf shrimp". The rolls were filled with rice noodles,Thai basil and a halved shrimp. They were served with a light, but tasty dark purple sauce. My wife had their Pad Thai and saidit was the best Pad Thai she'd ever eaten. I had a couple of tastes and I agree. The sauce was velvety and the noodles wereperfectly cooked. She also liked that it had more shrimp than chicken. I ordered the Japanese Tempura. It arrived with a bowlof white rice and dipping sauce. I asked for hot sauce and after tasting the dipping sauce I wanted soy sauce as well. Neitherarrived. The dipping sauce, while flavorful, was dull and was in serious need of salt, which was not available. The rice wasnice and sticky, but dull as well. The tempura shrimp and veggies was as you would expect with tempura, and this is why I onlywant to give them 3 1/2 stars. My meal was boring, boring, boring, and I couldn't get the condiments I wanted because our waiternever returned. East of Suez has a very interesting menu and other selections I'd like to try and I am certain we will visitthem again. I am also certain I won't be ordering the tempura. Hopefully, we will also have a more attentive waiter. Read more

Unique BYOB restaurant that is a must try at least once. It is a bit confusing going in and getting seated but once you are... inside it has a Sweet homey romantic setting with cozy dinning perfect for a first date or special night out. I was told I hadto try this spot for its amazing spicy food and was told we would have leftovers to spare, sadly this was not the case. Thoughthe menu is diverse and brings ethnic foods to the area as well as catering to both GLUTEN FREE and VEGAN options, there was noflavor to draw us back for more. The food, though good, only contained subtle hints of spices leaving us wanting more. There wasalso no hot factor and definitely no left overs with smaller portions which was boasted from previous dinners. Overall once ourorders where in the staff was prompt, having everything out at the perfect timing from the apps, to the salad, to themeal. Definitely don?t forget the wine! But if you do their beverages are the most flavorful thing on the menu! We absolutelyloved them! Read more

Not recommend. Service was good but place was very dirty and food was poor quality and greasy. Order $27.00 steak which was... maybe 4 oz with half cup rice, warm lettuce slice.... Overall bad experience and would not go back. Read more
