was a regular for almost a year, met a very nice young man named Brian, come to find out he quit around august of 2021, he was... one the nicest, most hard working person i’ve ever met. The manager was so mean and treated him with so much disrespect infront of the establishment. i was a loyal customer until i heard about the managers actions. there were no vegan options, andfound a cockroach in my coleslaw. i do not recommend this establishment to anyone that is vegan. I hope Brian is able to comeback to Sonny’s, thank you for your service. do not recommend this place. Read more
This is a great location! We were seated & served quickly. The food also came relatively quickly as well. Despite the quick... service, the quality of the food was great! The pulled pork and chicken breast in particular were juicy and moist. The garlicbread was toasted well. Lastly, the BBQ baked beans were some of the best I've had! Our server accidentally dropped my bf'scoleslaw but she apologized and cleaned it up right away and got him a new side. A great experience here! Read more

Sonny's is good as chains go. They are consistent and you can find them all over. This one is always clean and the staff nice.
I come here often. It's close to my work and Costco across the street. I grab food after work or before Costco. Food is good and... reliable. Service is always excellent. While I've had no issues with food. Any time there's a problem in the restaurant thestaff and managers get it fixed. My go to is the Pork 3 Ways--Dry Rub ribs, and a double of the pulled pork. I alternatebetween the Mac and Cheese, beans, tater tots, fries and the fried okra is excellent. The crushed ice is great and I get coke orsweet tea. A big shout out to Laura, she's been my lunch buddy (waitress) the last few times. She'll make sure you're welltaken care of here! Read more
The food was tasty and right temp for each food item, the atmosphere was pleasant to. Was there for my “free birthday... combo.” Thinking the meal alone wouldn’t be enough so, I ordered a side of fries add additional price. Wrong! These are myleftover for tomorrow. Sonny's remains GREAT! And this University Ave location is especially good. Aways pleasant with friendly and efficient... service. And of course great BBQ. Their corn bread is as good as I have ever had ( even than back in deepest darkestAppalachia). KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK SONNY'S!!! Read more
