Some of the best sushi we'd ever had! Server was super nice and patient, atmosphere was very calm. Recommend to anyone in the... area, would probably drive here from our home an hour away just for this sushi! Read more
????Not a good place for groups! ???? On a group trip, my party was looking for a place to celebrate our friend’s birthday... night and called up Sushi Nama. We were told immediately that they could accommodate 14. Upon arriving, We were left with noassistance for 20 minutes as we waited to ask our waiter questions about the menu, with only 2 other small parties present atthe restaurant. Once we ordered, they rarely returned. We never got waters refilled or were checked in on, despite trying tosignal help a few times. Our waiter was friendly, but they were clearly understaffed and unable to accommodate a group of oursize. Half the party got food relatively quickly while others waited up to 2 hours for Pad Thai. In all the chaos, a friend witha sesame allergy was served, and accidentally ate, sesame seeds. Several people debated leaving to get fast food after 1.5hours. Getting us our food took until after closing and the kitchen staff was very clearly getting upset about serving us andtalking poorly about our group for asking for time updates, which added to our discomfort. I understand serving a large groupcan be overwhelming, but we would have much preferred to be told they don’t have the resources to serve us so that we couldhave made better arrangements, rather than waiting 2 hours for our food with rude service and allergy contamination. To addinsult to injury, there was an automatic 20% tip for our group size (which we would have been more than happy to pay with evenaverage service) and they did not initially remove the charge for the contaminated food. Overall, we had a very poor experienceand our birthday girl was left upset Read more
Disappointed. We did not order sushi or sashimi because of extreme prices. Still very expensive, about double the prices of... most Sushi Restaurants. We paid $185.98 for some sake and a few specialty rolls. Rolls were ok, about what we expected. Their smart phone based ordering system was ok, but e-mails receipt after you pay. Therefore we did not notice the overchargefor Sake: ordered Soto 180ml can for $15.00 but were charged for 300ml Ozeki dry (31.00). My private e-mail request forcredit to correct this error received no response. I have sent another. Would not recommend to friends. Read more
I’m not sure what the one and two star reviews are smoking but I definitely want some! Sushi Nama is such a gem. Yes, you do... pay a premium to eat here but it’s absolutely worth it. If you take the time to talk to the chefs Yoni and Elan (who are someof the coolest people I’ve met in town) you’ll realize these guys are truly passionate about the food they make. Every weekthey are getting fresh fish flown into Denver that is then driven straight up to WP. Other comments were ripping on the shrimptails included on the rolls or the “messy” (lol) rolls. You can and should be eating the tails. If your culinary experienceis so narrow, that’s fine, just don’t blame it on the chefs when you don’t know good food when it’s literally served toyou on a platter. Crisp and delicious. These two guys are hand rolling every single piece of sushi that leaves the bar. And theyare doing a killer job. If you’re looking for cheap, pedestrian rolls, maybe head to a big city. I can’t blame the staff forthe massive mobs of tourists that overload their service. They do their best to put out good food on a timely basis, and as faras the quality goes, their pricing makes sense when you consider the location too. All in all a great place to eat if you’relooking to treat yourself to some unique and quality food. Yes, prices are higher than the McDonald’s a block down the streetbut so is the quality. If you don’t wanna pay $14 for a phenomenal sushi roll, go get some Safeway sushi that’s been in thecooler for half the day. More Sushi Nama for me! Read more
