Terrible experience. My wife and I went to have lunch here. We ordered a chips and salsa and some other food. It came out... with enough salsa for 4-5 chips. (Maybe 3 spoon fulls) We asked for some additional salsa and the owner came over and said itcosts 2-4 dollars per salsa bowl (which is 2-3 tea spoons full?.we said that doesn?t seem right and we?ve not seen that before. At that point, he takes the chips and salsa from the table and asks us to leave if we don?t like it. There?s a reason thisplace has the worst rankings around here. I wouldn't eat here again for anything. I ordered Carne Asada. When I got the meal it looked like Steak Ums meat and the... guacamole looked like a child's diarrhea. It was horrible. I got the taquizo (5 taco sampler platter) and my companion got the vegetarian enchiladas. Both were excellent quality and mild... enough for wimps like us. The music is just a smidge loud but at least it's thematic. Prices are reasonable for the area. Read more
Food was alright but the service was the worst I have had an while. Girl who took the drink order didn't acknowledge any of... them. Brought them to us. I said thank you and she just said mmm. Ordered chips and salsa which you have to pay separately forwhich is the only Mexican restaurant in at least the last 10 I've been to that does and she brings them and I say thank you andshe just says mmm. Watched her just play on her phone after that while another gentleman helped us was at least nicer. Wefinished our meal and sat there for five minutes waiting for the check. There was only one other table occupied at 1 in theafternoon during tourist season and we got passed five times watching them help the other table which was next to us. I'm givingit 2 stars because the food actually wasn't too bad but the customer service is just some of the worst I've ever seen. The food is great. The service is very personable and friendly. We don't live here, but we eat here when we come. They have... everything you have come to love at any Mexican Restaurant. There dishes are still unique but delicious. Enchiladas, Tortas,burritos, fajitas, and tacos, etc... We will be coming back next time. Read more
Julio's is a clean environment that provides pretty good Mexican food. The issue? The service. The waitress serving us was not... nice by any means. And then we were charged an automatic 20 percent gratuity because "our bill was over $50." Their menuindicated that we would only be charged that 20 percent gratuity if our party had 6 or more. Amazing meal, great service, and clean restrooms...I highly recommend! Also, he brought out house tequila (amazing!) at the... end of our meal in an iconic cows foot bottle holder and sent us on our way with high spirits. Great experience, you must tryJulio's!
