Reviews for Tre Nonne Italian Restaurant in Winston-Salem, NC
We visited this restaurant with high hopes. Unfortunately this was the worst Italian food we've ever eaten. We ordered... Bruschetta. It wasn't too bad though it wasn't traditional. I ordered fettuccine nonne. The noodles were under cooked and thecream sauce was so thick and had no taste. The chicken seemed to be whatever was leftover was thrown in. Lasagna was alsoordered. It was drowning in sauce, noodles were under cooked and a very small portion. The one other dish ordered was chickenmarsala with pasta. Once again the noodles were under cooked, the sauce was more like an oil and there was zero taste. Thewaitresses made some errors. Bringing out bread late and getting our bills wrong. But she was new and did her best. Read more
Excellent food, excellent service. This place is a family-run gem. Calamari appetizer was cooked perfectly -very tender and the... marinara was very flavorful. Entrees were all wonderful, and you can tell the pasta is homemade. Highly recommend the creamsauces here -I had the fettuccine Nonne and it was amazing. Very good atmosphere in a small but comfortable location, and veryattentive and welcoming service. Read more
Owner very friendly and appreciated us being there. I'm very critical of Italian restaurants. Not fancy dancie but food... delicious. Homemade pasta, meatballs, bread, and deserts. Will most definitely return. Read more
I have visited this restaurant many times and always enjoyed but now the "Biden effect" has taken over. Iced tea was very weak,... when asked for more the owners son said his dad would not fix anymore. The dressing is now "watered down". The sauce tasted old.I work too hard to pay these prices. I suggest they get back to their quality food and raise the prices if they need to butkeeping the prices the same while reducing the quality will put you out of business fast! I will not be back... 1-11-2020 It has been a couple of years since our first visit, that will not happen again! I can not say enough about the staff,... the atmosphere and the FOOD. Our first visit was Sunday gravy, this time it was a Saturday night, what a great time we had.Usually (with our kids) there is always at least one problem at dinner but not here, everything was on point again. I make somepretty mean Italian dishes myself but after having the Fettuccine Alfredo (add chicken) I have some work to do on my sauce. Iwould like to thank Carmine, Tony, Debbie,Donna and the rest of the staff (family) for treating our family like your family! Ifyou are in or near the Winston-Salem NC area get over to Tre Nonne and fill up on some great food and good times! Always#kulinarymafia approved! (2 1/2yrs ago)( original post) So its Sunday and the #kulinarymafia is on the road chasing food. Athome we do the Sunday gravy with sausage and meatballs so we did a google search for Italian food here in the Winston-Salem NCarea and found a hidden gem! Family owned and operated (re located from Brooklyn NY) with a chef (Carmine) from Naples Italy, why would'nt you check it out? It is our last night in town so we head on out to find the place, it is kinda hidden in a littleshopping plaza (177 Jonestown Road Winston Salem NC 27103). Its a small clean place with nice decor and the most friendlyservice, that started as we walked in. The HOMEMADE pasta is incredible and the gravy was too! A young lad by the name of Robwas our server and he was great, very polite and made sure we had what we needed at all times. After the main course we hadTiramisu and Nutella ice cream, to die for.... and to finish it off with Homemade limon cello and wow! You still reading?, whatare you waiting for? Get on down to Tre Nonne Italian Restaurant and satisfy your belly! If I could give 10 stars I would! Thanks Tre Nonne for a great dinning Experience! #kulinarymafia approved! Read more
This is place is a Kitchen Nightmare. Somebody call Gordon Ramsey. The bruschetta was soggy burnt bread, tomatoes are not fresh... and sliced cheese. Rigatoni in vodka sauce was bone dry. No sauce. No flavor. Salad is stale. Lettuce is bitter and not crisp. Read more
We really enjoyed this restaurant. The pasta is homemade and a little chewy compared to dry pasta. The ravioli had the best... marinara sauce we have ever tasted. The rigatoni with vodka sauce was delicious. The alfredo sauce was rich and buttery. Theolive dressing was not good unless you are an absolute olive lover. The rolls were delicious. The meatballs were good. Theservice was friendly and attentive. The atmosphere is cozy. We look forward to returning. Read more
