Small little grill located on the side of Hawthorne Road that has been there a long time. Hard to find unless you know where it... is or some one takes you there to eat one or more of their famous hot dogs that were named Winston-Salem's Best a few years ago.While there also try the hamburgers, cheeseburgers, fries and chicken wings. This CASH ONLY business has some of the best Burgers in town. Thick hearty beef cooked on the flat grill that probably gives... them that seasoned flavor of years of hot dogs & burgers being cooked on them. Make sure you get a side of their perfectlycooked fries, not too crunchy on outside and soft on inside. Only complaint I have is I need more fries! You would think theirfood would be overly greasy but it is not. You can get your items with what ever extras you want on them like pickles & onions.Free refills on your fountain drinks to wash it all down. The place is small with limited indoor seating and 3 picnic tablesoutside. Amble private parking so you have no excuse not to visit......just don?t forget the cash! One of the best things slammin around this part of town. Perfect location for anyone that is visiting the 2 major hospitals in... Winston Salem. Pretty much directly in the middle of the 2 using the same road (Hawthorne Road). If you haven't tried thembefore you wont be disappointed. The only thing wrong is the building is small, so it's best not to go around lunch time so youcan get you a spot, and wont have to stand in line. Have to give a 5 star on this restaurant! Read more
As always the hot dogs are great. Toasted buns are delicious. It was lunch so there were a few people there but didn't have to... wait long. I will go back and recommend this place. Read more
