Additional Information
Had the modern meatloaf nice and cheesy I enjoyed it. The greens were spicy which I prefer and the grits was very delicious all... around a great meal. Had some coconut pie for dessert I thought the crust could have been better myself, still a good piece ofpie though. Read more
Had the fried chicken and beef short ribs. Really good food and excellent service. Had the spring rolls as an appetizer and they... were perfectly cooked with a nice crispy outside layer. Great location and ambience too. Highly recommended. Oh the breadpudding was classic also. A+ Read more
You know that feeling you get when you go to the spa or do something extra special for yourself? Well that?s exactly what it... felt like when we had brunch today at Mozelle?s. Steve was our server and he was so efficient & knowledgeable, and showed usjust the right amount of attention. He hung out just long enough to have a genuinely friendly conversation, but not so long thatit felt intrusive. He also had a way of anticipating our needs with perfect timing! I ordered the avocado toast with friedchicken. My husband-the tomato pie w/edamame succotash. And the kiddo chose the grilled pimento cheese sandwich w/fried chickenand a side of the tomato soup. The food was OUTSTANDING; Perfectly sized portions, gorgeous plating/presentation, and OMG?thecombination of flavors & textures & colors!! All of my senses were dancing! When asked, I explained to Steve that we were justpassing through Winston-Salem, on our way by car to Florida and then flying back home to N. Nevada?otherwise I would order awhole tomato pie to enjoy at home. Steve offered a few packaging solutions for me to consider and guess what? One very special &lucky little tomato pie is now sitting next to me in a thermal cooling bag and will travel several hundred miles with us. Andwhen we finally get home to an oven, this special little tomato pie will remind us that we need to book a trip back toWinston-Salem?just to visit Mozelle?s again! Read more
I really like the outdoor seating. We arrived at 11:30 and were able to sit down right away, but it got pretty busy by... 12:15. We got the shrimp & grits and the tomato pie, and would definitely recommend both! I?m from LA, and this is the firsttime I tried shrimp & grits. If anywhere else does it better, I would definitely be impressed. It was creamy and seasoned wellwith peppers and mushrooms. There was a small and surprising pocket of black pepper in the dish that bit the palate, butotherwise it was a great culinary experience. In my time living nearby, Mozelle?s has appeared to be a favorite lunch spot ofboth nearby business professionals and retirees. I made the mistake of scheduling our lunch meeting for 11:30. This was amistake because we finished at 12:20 and the server?s behavior gently implied that we should leave so they could seat otherguests. Therefore, I would definitely recommend that anyone who wants to meet someone for lunch to discuss something importantshould either plan on 1. Eating slowly and ordering desert or 2. Scheduling the lunch meeting for a later time such as 12:45 (sothat the restaurant won?t lose valuable table space if you stay a little later to further discuss things). In summary, thegreat food and ambiance creates a large clientele that the restaurant understandably wants to fully serve in a timely manner. Assuch, it?s definitely not a place to plan on spending a long and relaxing lunch at if you go during a busy time. Read more

INTRO: Mozelle?s Southern Bistro is an extremely well-known restaurant in Winston Salem. I was excited to try this new... restaurant since I?ve heard so many good things about it. When I was walking to the restaurant, I was surprised to see howbeautifully decorated the restaurant was. The outdoor seating was well lit with fairy lights, and everything was in white, fromthe tables to the chairs. The interior is equally as beautifully decorated, and they?re able to maximize their seatingarrangements in such a small space. The open kitchen also allows for customers to enjoy the wonderful aroma as they wait fortheir foods. ENTREE 1: $26 Mushroom pasta w/ chicken (parmesan cream, roasted local mushrooms, crispy sage) - I was honestlydisappointed with this dish. The chicken was extremely dry, and the pasta had a little to no flavor. The pasta sauce barely hadany flavor as well. I did not feel like this dish was worth $26. I?ve had better pasta at the Cheesecake Factory for a muchcheaper price. And honestly I?ve made better pasta at home. ENTREE 2: $21 Fried chicken (boneless springer mountain chickenbreast, mac + cheese, green beans + peach chutney) - This dish was a miss for me as well. The best thing about this meal was thepeach chutney. The chicken was extremely dry and the mac & cheese barely had any flavor. I was extremely disappointed. WORTHIT? Not really, I wouldn?t come back here again unless something changes about their food, and the total cost of this meal setme back over $65. OVERALL? Although the restaurant is beautifully decorated there and is a fantastic date spot, theirdecoration does not make up for the lack of flavor and the dryness of their food. I?ve heard so many great things about thisrestaurant, so I had very high hopes but was unfortunately let down. Perhaps they were having a bad day, but I wouldn?t riskanother meal here for their price point. Read more
