My first time at Mama Zoey's! I came to North Carolina to visit family and they said that I had to experience this... establishment. Mama Zoey's is more than a experience. It's an education on hard work, and family and friends. I had the Chickenand Waffles. I could have eaten the whole plate but, refused to not be able to have that well seasoned, crunchy, moist, juicy,succulent chicken later. The waffle was crunchy and ever so moist on the inside. We had a large party however this place was ready for it. Their menu is huge. They offer everything from breakfast to dinner.our... server was a little forgetful with extras but our food came out correct and it was good. She was very honest with our questionsof what to get and her not so favorites we appreciate that. If your near wake forest this is a keeper. Love this restaurant. I love their Greek omelette and other items. My wife loves their Big Italian sandwich. The coconut shrimp... is great but I didn't prefer the small portion, and that's okay. The staff is very friendly and our family and us love cominghere. Recommend! Read more
#SuperHubs and I were on the way back from Statesville and decided to stop in Winston for a bite to eat. Since it was my turn to... choose (????), I wanted something that we?d never had before and that we couldn?t get in GSO. Ah, the wonder of #Google! As soonas I saw this place and the pics & reviews of the food, I knew it was gonna be the one for me. Fast forward 30 minutes and wearrive at the closest place to Heavens dining table as you can get. When we arrived, there wad already a flood of people goingin and we were afraid we would have to wait, but with a lil luck, we slipped right on up to the hostess and were greeted andseated quickly. Cue the food? Because we saw this picture via Google of a GIANT chicken pot pie, we decided to share one with 2sides. Imagine our shock when it was actually bigger than we thought. As you can see from the pics, it?s even bigger than#SuperHubs?s hands! The flavor was top-notch and so creamy, and the veggies were cooked to perfection. The corn soufflé was oneof the best ones I?ve ever had. Savory with a little sweetness to hit the tastebuds just right. After supper, we decided toshare a dessert as well, so we got the apple cobbler with ice cream, expecting a small side-sized bowl. When it came to thetable and was the same size as the chicken pie, we were astounded! ???? Obviously, we couldn?t finish it, and we ended up boxingabout three quarters of it to bring home to kids. The service was excellent, our waitress always refilling our glasses withkindness and attention. The place was pleasantly clean and warm and refreshing. Even the bathroom was as tidy as could be.
