This place use to be good but their service is absolutely terrible. We went for dinner, waited at the table for 10ish min before... anyone spoke to us and our drink orders were taken. Waited another 15 min for them to bring our cheese dip with an empty basketof chips.. brought us a new chip basket then walked away. I asked if we could order, the lady said yes, then walked away. Afterabout 30 min or more of waiting we never got our order taken and ended up leaving because no one came back. Read more

Nice semi shaded outdoor seating for days with good weather. Excellent variety of food. You can go as cheesy and ?heavy? or as... fresh and light as you want with the entrees. Their menu changes a few times a year, maybe more, to add new items. They havegood margaritas with fresh flavors. Plenty of vegan and vegetarian options too. We went to this place because we were looking for an authentic Mexican restaurant, lucky us we found what we were looking for... it!! I'm a tacos girl so that's what I ordered. Service is always great and food options are beyond your original dishes. Paired sauces for every dish is out of this world! and... chip and dip is just right! I wasn?t impressed with La Botana at 1457 Hanes Mall Boulevard in Winston, Actually quite disappointed. I?d heard good things... but it was a let down. Ordered the Enchiladas Pipian, they were smaller enchiladas. They did have some good flavor but wereswimming in grease. (See attached picture) The refried beans were watery, Rice was just ok. The plate?s presentation receivesvery low marks, the food was thrown on with no care. The guacamole salad side was pretty good. Service was bad, the olderwaitress Anna could use some customer service training. Asked me ?why? when I requested to speak to the manager. The youngerwaitress Ella was sweet, she seemed to have decent service skills. Ella told us the manager was very busy and couldn?t speak tome. The menu had good options and the food was really good, both quality and quantity for theprice. They even have deal days where the food options that day are very affordable. This place could've got a 5 star from mebut the only thing of concern is the chips that they provide didn't look like they were cooked in fresh oil because they smelledlike that.
