The food here is incredibly good. Seasoned so perfectly. Everything from the flounder to the oysters to the shrimp, is so... delicious. As well as the sides, some of the best collard greens I have ever had. Really good desserts too that they make inhouse, we tried the strawberry shortcake and the banana pudding. Great hardworking people here that will cook you an awesomeseafood meal. Will definitely be back! Read more

My first time purchasing and it will definitely be the last. The person at the front of the market side was very rude and... disrespectful. I kept smelling a foul odor coming from my bag once I got to the car headed back home. We had dead crabs mixedwith live ones that were barely clinging to life. The dead crabs were smelling so horrible. Only a few were alive. We ended upthrowing out the entire bag because they smelled terrible. I am so disappointed as it was a waste of $!!! Read more

My husband and I always hit Forsyth Seafood when he comes home to Winston-Salem for a visit. We live in KY. Today we came in... to order an Oyster Boat to go and 2 bottles water. We waited for more than 25 minutes, as others ordered and left. My husbandapproached cashier and asked about our order number. He was told all there big orders get priority over customers standing by in the restaurant waiting for orders. The cashier then said she saw us standing there and thought that we had already receivedour order. Then why would be still standing there? $18 down and 30 minutes later. Such a bad experience for food I am always inanticipation of. Maybe another trip......maybe???????? Read more

Make sure you receive hot fish because my son ordered hot fish and was served cold fish. He had to go back in for them to... correct his order. And the staff are not very attentive when placing orders. It is not the customers duty to check if food ishot and fresh. Fish should never be served cold....period. Therefore I will not be utilizing their services in the future. Makesfor bad business. Read more

Great fried catfish and the collard greens were as good as grandma's. The sanitation grade is very respectable too. Service... was slow and advised that my order wasn't received and had no record of name of the person whom placed the order..and paid forvia phone call. Careful stepping to leave the counter area..a little slippery. Read more

Good food, beware of upcharges I ordered a combo plate by phone and was told a combo was two items with slaw, hushpuppies and... one additional side. Salmon and oysters were upcharges. $5 & $7. I got a small 4 oz portion of salmon and 6 oysters for $28.99 Read more

The Forsyth Seafood Market & Café Experience (Carryout Edition). On this day, I was looking for seafood and convenience. The... Forsyth Seafood Market & Café was near, and I knew I needed to arrive early to beat the lunchtime rush. So, upon walking intothe café portion, I was slightly confused about their ordering system. They had tables with card readers and mini-computernotebooks in front of their counter. So, I was unsure if I were to order through the notebook or with a person. After touchingthe notebook screen and noticing there was no menu, I asked someone behind the counter if she was taking orders and was toldyes. So I ordered their two-piece fish plate that comes with a side, hushpuppies, and slaw. It did not take long for my food tocome up, and I was walking out of the door in no time. Once back and ready to eat, my food was ok. However, I did not tastemuch seasoning on my fish. Would I go back to Forsyth Seafood? I don't know if I would go back. I don't feel like the price ofthe plate reflects through the taste of their food. The dish itself gave resemblance to something you would get at a fish fryfundraiser through your local church or school. Moreover, there was nothing memorable about the customer service received.
