Had my first latte from DeBeen and it was amazing! The space is warm and funky. The staff are very welcoming and knowledgeable.... They have a plethora of flavors to add to your drinks (and even some kombucha on draft?!). Sydney introduced me to the brownsugar iced latte and let me tell you it was a game changer. I will definitely be going back! Read more

The coffee is okay and the staff are very nice. There are just so many coffee shops in Winston-Salem, and I prefer some of the... others. I think if you really like flavored drinks or are looking for a place that can make something similar to what you get ata Starbucks, this is probably the shop for you downtown. Read more

DeBeen Espresso is a coffee shop located in a great neighborhood in downtown Winston-Salem. It?s a great area to walk around and... explore. The coffee shop itself is primarily just Coffee drinks, sweet treats and bagels, and gelato. It?s nicely decoratedwith a good atmosphere and was full of students from Wake (I assume) when I went there. Definitely worth checking out if you?rein the area. Read more

I've never been to this place before and recently checked in to try it out. It seemed like a hidden coffee shop next to Alma... Mexicana. I'd just never noticed it there before because it blended in so well with the apartment building above it! With the 3,30-minute parking spaces in front, I would think it was only convenient for the residents living nearby if you're getting thereby car. Inside surprised me. For a small space, it was thoughtfully put together with a variety of places to sit from couches, tables, and this long stacked benchy thing that had charging outlets in it. There was also art decorated along the walls whichgave the space a lot of an artsy personality (what do ya know!). Immediately thought that this would be a great place to switchup my work from home set up once in a while to enjoy coffee in the heart of downtown Winston while I got things done. Thewaiters were especially friendly and helpful with the menu, patient as I picked out other things for my cousin who I wanted totreat along with me. They told me that they'd been at this location for almost a year now, but had been in business for 24 yearscounting their High Point location. My cousin ended up getting a latte, bottled tea, and a blueberry muffin. She was notpleased with the muffin and did not finish it, believing that she's definitely had better muffins elsewhere. I tried it too andit was a bit underwhelming. Would probably order my baked goods somewhere else. Otherwise, they told me that they couldbasically customize anything on the menu to be hot or cold which was really cool. I ended up getting the matcha latte withsoymilk and was especially pleased by this because soy is not available at all the cafes I frequent downtown. I usually go withoat milk as the alternative. Additionally, they have a kombucha tap if you're not feeling like tea or coffee as well asin-house baked goods, treats, and other drinks in the fridge you can purchase. Definitely coming back for that k Read more

I visited here on 11/20/21 around 4:30pm. Since it?s located downtown, parking could potentially pose a problem as there is... limited spaces in front of the building. I was unsure what I wanted as I wanted to try something different. I was helped byGrace, who was extremely friendly. I like iced coffee, even when it?s cold, lol. One of the things she recommended from thespeciality menu (that wasn?t posted yet) was The Drunken Nut; this came with Macadamia nut, rum, and salted caramel. It tastedgood but I wanted a stronger flavor and Grace added more. Afterwards, it was perfect. I got so into drinking it, that I almostforgot to take a picture! Lol The atmosphere was chill. I saw people socializing, reading, and/or doing work. There is about5-6 tables inside and a long bench plus about 3 two person tables outside. Overall, customer customer was great and so was mydrink. I will be back as I would love to try another speciality drink! Read more

This place is great! There are plenty of coffee shops in Winston-Salem, but I haven't found one that matches the atmosphere... here. Its a great place to get some studying done or read a book, and as a vegan I can say that this is the best place to getvegan sweets. The people here are so nice and the art is great! Read more
