My husband, our two sons (6 and 11), and I dined here tonight to celebrate getting through the first week of school. I have been... to several restaurants claiming to be 4 or 5 star, but this is the first to live up to its claim. Everything from the wineselection, flavors of the cuisine, and presentation was exquisite. My family often tease me to be a harsh critic when diningout, but tonight I was truly impressed. Came here for dinner with a friend. The first impression was such a beautiful old house and it's nice to see they were keeping... the style of the house. We were seated outside the charming patio. The waitress came and greeted us and took our drink order andtold us about the special items for the evening. We ordered our appetizer's watermelon gazpacho and their Classic Caesar Salad.The watermelon gazpacho was okay it was a little on the bland side and tasted more like water down salsa. The Caesar salad was alittle bit interesting because it had tomatoes defiantly wish they would have not included them. It made the salad bitter. Iordered the lamb chops and asked medium well they came out rare. They were very disappointing and the sauce was terrible. Myfriend's meal was so disappointing I am not going to mention it. Everything was plated beautifully but I wish instead of itlooking nice I wish they would put in the effort in it to taste . We were so disappointed that we just asked for our check. Webarely touched our food and she didn't even care to ask. She just took our cards and cashed us out. it was a complete waste oftime and money. It gets two stars for outdoor dining. Read more

We celebrated our 29h wedding anniversary at Bernardin’s in Winston Salem OH MY GOODNESS! delicious sea bass. I never done... this before but I will attach a before and after picture of the plate and yes, I sopped that plate! Josh our server was amazing!I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE! Fabulous food, great atmosphere and terrific service… We went to the restaurant twice in one visit to Winston and the filet... mignon and crab cakes were wonderful, the she-crab soup and Chilean sea bass were out of this world. This place here so unexpected and that is what makes it so grand. Very clean home turned into a restaurant, the staff is upbeat... and knowledgeable on the menu, our waitress made great recommendations. No just any menu with your regular fried chicken, noooo!The menu is just like the appearance...unexpected. I can't wait to return with a group and hopefully celebrate a birthday.
