The food was good, like usual. The service was terrible. There were 5 people in our party. There weren't many others in the... whole place (10 or 12 people total) but we waited almost 10 minutes for someone to come over after we were seated. We almostleft, but didnt. The service unfortunately remained ridiculously slow the entire time we were there. We ordered an appetizer andour meals. The first thing brought out were the 2 salads ordered. I think my salad was as much tomato as salad, but that is notthe point here. We didnt get our appetizer and out came our meals. One of the kids meals had the wrong side. The server didntjust go get the right side, but he took the whole meal back to the kitchen. Our child couldnt even be eating his main dish. Mymeal came out 5 or 6 minutes after everyone else's. The whole meal, we were never asked if we needed a drink refill, and we hadempty cups in plain sight on the table. In fact, the only time our server came over was right before we had finished our food.He was almost running away from the table and I had to yell for him to ask him to remove the appetizer from our ticket becausewe never got it. He acted irritated, and rolled his eyes and sighed. When he brought the ticket, he had charged us an extra $1per kids meal (we had 2) because he rang in 2 drinks for each one. That was the icing on the cake. I went over and asked anotherserver about the drink charge and she said she would have the manager come over. Instead our server brought a new ticket withthe extra charges removed. I asked if the manager was coming and the server huffed and went to get him. I politely explained thesituation to the manager and handed him the ticket and a payment. He said he would take care of it. We waited 10 minutes forthe manager to go swipe a card. Food was good. Service sucked. I get the whole short staffed issue but we had to ask for our own refills when our waiter walked... by multiple times. Waited at least 25 minutes for the appetizer. Read more
We came this past Sunday to have a small dinner for my sons birthday..He chose Applebee's because we came here before and they... sang to him. This year they're still running with "Covid" excuse and would not sing for him but nobody has on a mask for servingor in the kitchen..it makes no sense????. Our server was really nice,that was the only pro. The food was gross. Neither my sonor brother ate their chicken fingers.they we're re-heated,hard and dry. I had Alfredo, which is my favorite and it was alsonasty.The chicken had a funny taste and the sauce was not good. My food was amazing, hot.. tasted great.. wonderful presentation. Server was friendly, fast, and helpful. My only complaint... was they had just opened for the day but there was trash on floor (food crumbs, crayon, straw wrapper). Read more
My experience at Applebee's about 6pm today , after being seated very quickly by a very pleasant young lady, my wife ,... granddaughter and I waited for about 10 minutes for anyone to acknowledge we had been seated and at least get a drink order, theplace was nearly empty . Another group of five or six people came in and had barely sat down at the next table when a serverwalked right past us and went to help them, as she started taking that tables order she glanced at me and then looked away as ifI wasn't there, she didn't nod or gesture in any fashion, she just had this I don't care look in her eye, even as we got up towalk out she didn't even look our way. If this is how Applebee's trains their servers to treat customers, this girl is doing afantastic job ! But I'm pretty sure that this isn't the case, it is however becoming what I expect from Applebee's and IHOP inWinston Salem , no wonder they're failing so quickly. Read more
This was the worst experience I have ever had at Applebee's let alone any restaurant. My food looked terrible and missed... ingredients. I had the four-cheese mac and cheese with honey pepper chicken tenders did not have any cheese and I have picturesof the food. The food had a terrible flavor like it had been sitting under a heat lamp all day. The employee who brought my foodout to the car was rude and not friendly. The portions were small, and the appetizer was old. I will not be returning to thisestablishment. Read more
Trash. Absolute trash. We were seated, and then saw two other parties seated AFTER US. They were greeted, and their waitress... took their order. Mind you, we were seated before them. This was a horrible 1st impression from a restaurant that USUALLY hastop notch service. APPLEBEES, YOU NEED TO DO BETTER!!!! If I could give you a negative rating 50 times, I would. They did better then the last visit. I am not sure that they can remain in business with the limited menu and low quality of... service that they have. it is missing something that I just can?t put my finger on it. The commercials can fool you. Read more
