Vibrant space, delicious food, friendly service & salsa dancing too. We went on a Monday night to learn to Salsa dance. And it... was fun learning new moves. And the one hour lesson is free for all, then 2 more hours of music and dancing. However, we wentearly, sat outside, enjoyed THE THREE AMIGOS - chips with 3 dips - guacamole, salsa & quest. Had to refill water glasses tobefore our many course. The heat from the salsa was mild, but the heat from the day continued. Great tastes rolled through mymouth and over my buds. Seating inside & out ADA compatible, and full bar with 10 craft beers on tap. Read more

We went to their salsa dance night. It was a lot of fun and there were a bit of people there! Can’t wait for the next... one! It’s a nice, cozy environment in a convenient location. Specialty drinks are $10-$18 and beers are around $7. Notcheap, but definitely worth it. Read more

Our family had dinner tonight after a performance at Bailey Park. Alex was our waitress and she was awesome. Laura, the manager,... was really accommodating. My mom, Lori, commented on how great it was that after being seated Laura still remembered her name.Alex was kind and on time with every item we ordered. It was an overall great experience! I've been to Alma multiple times now and I can honestly say this is the best Mexican spot in Winston. Not only is the atmosphere... great, but the staff is so friendly and attentive. The food and drinks always deliver! Read more

I have always wanted to go to Alma Mexicana restaurant but has yet to have the chance until last night and it was an absolute... pleasure. Not only was the food delish and the atmosphere great, but the servers/staff were so very pleasant and incrediblyhelpful!!!! The margaritas were so good (especially the blackberry margarita) and the food was awesome. We will definitely beback! Read more

This place has lost its sparkle. I was a regular customer when I lived downtown and they opened their doors. The cocktails were... amazing, the food was top notch and now it’s just lackluster. All of my favorite menu items are now gone and they are charging$16 for what they call shareables or small plates. Really the only other thing on the menu is tacos that you can opt to turninto a rice bowl. I miss the ceviche options, the lamb chops, and all of the unique offerings that made Alma special. So sad…ordered grilled shrimp tacos. Not grilled, boiled. Read more

This was my first time to Alma Mexicans and it did not disappoint. Food was delicious, salsa and queso scrumptious. Staff was... accommodating with change requests on chimichanga, I opted for tomatillo chicken versus barbacoa/chorizo listed on menu. Waitstaff was kind and engaging. Had leftovers for dinner. Will definitely be back again. Read more

The food was fine, probably even good. We just got the basic 3 dip and chips. It was for sure over priced. It was 12 dollars and... with tip we evened out at 15. It was the service. I don't know if it was just too short staffed or just an off day, but for itbeing mid afternoon it was bad. We were seated given some water and left alone for atleast 10 minutes. After that a women askedif we had ordered yet which we had not. Asked what we wanted and left. At which point, we were left for another long period. Each time someone came to us we were left for an excruciatingly long period of time. When we finally paid and left my companionstated that he felt like he was being held hostage because we couldn't leave before paying. We spent a good hour there with justchips and dips. I mean we were seated immediately too. It was not fun. Read more
