The panang literally only uses frozen vegetables that you buy from Safeway, with two slivers of red pepper. $15 dollars is... overboard . Tasted freezer burnt even with all the spice to mask. Very disappointed Read more
Pad Thai was mediocre at best. The Rangoons were decent. The Calamari needs to be cut smaller because it?s difficult to eat in... large pieces. If you like spicy food, you will probably really enjoy this restaurant as they have a scale that goes up to tenand at small numbers it was very spicy! Unfortunately, we probably won?t be back. I just started learning about Thai food a few years ago. I eat Gluten Free and Chinese food never quite catered to my allergy.... Thai food has many delicious options. I?ve ordered from Vientiane a few times now. I will go over my experiencetoday. Unfortunately for my household COVID has run its course. No one felt like cooking so Thai food it was! My family arepartial to Chinese but I convinced them to give it a try. My order came about 45 minutes after placed with door dash. I hadspent just over $100 with all the fees etc. Upon delivery I noticed only 2 items had arrived (6 were ordered). I called therestaurant and they apologized as an error in their system only showed 2 of the 6 so only 2 were sent. Upon discussing it witha very nice lady (I forget her name) and explaining we currently can?t pick up because of COVID, nor want a refund as my familywere hungry. She found a solution to utilize door dash delivery services. Place another order (small rice) and my food could bedelivered with that new order, as well as a free-bie for the mistake. My other food came within 45-50 minutes and was hot anddelicious. While one of the family members sense of taste is still slow to return, the rest enjoyed it. So I want to thank therestaurant for the delicious food and will continue to order from Vientiane. Also there was much more food but I didn?t get atmany photos. Sorry eaten. You can customize the level of heat/spice in your meals at this restaurant- ranging from 1-10. We ordered 2 dishes- both 5/10... heat. Turned out it was good for my husband but a little too high for me - would go with level 3 or 4 next time. Our friendshad a level 7 for one of theirs. Beef basil and deep fried fish were our 2 orders. We had a calamari appetizer which was verygood. Great service and friendly staff. Good place for Laotian and Thai food. Read more
This restaurant has parking in front, there was ample parking when we went. The restaurant was pretty empty. The staff was fast... and friendly. The food was quick and tasty. They offered a spice scale of 1 to 10. We had a 5 and it was spicy, my friends hada very spicy 8 and enjoyed the heat that it was. We had the beef and basil, a fish dish and calamari. Prices and flavours wereexcellent. Definitely worth going, we will be back. Read more
I came here for lunch and was not disappointed. Although the decor is in need of an update (paint peeling off the walls, old... tables and chairs) I was more interested in the food and that did not disappoint. We had the coconut shrimp as an appetizer andthe large green curry soup with a side of rice as well as the pad nut. The shrimp was good in fact so good we ate it before Ithought of taking a picture. The soup was excellent! A very generous portion full of vegetables and chicken. We selected spicelevel 5 and it was fine for me however my lunch partner fond it very spicy so be aware of that. We had to pack up the pad nutbut when I finally got to it it was delicious. Very good sauce, lots of veggies another excellent choice. The restaurant hassome parking but with the other businesses around it can be tough to find a spot. Read more
They did not follow instructions. I ordered Red Thai Curry Soup off of Skip with clear instructions for vegetarian, no chicken.... When the food shows up there is tons of chicken it it. So I call the restaurant back and they do not even apologize just say,?you want your money back??. I told them that I wanted a new one like I had ordered but I had to go pick it up cause I was toldthere was no way to ?get it to me?. Very poor customer service. Will not be ordering here again.
