We ordered delivery tonight. We were told 1 hour and it has so far been 2 hours with no delivery. I had to call 5 times before... they would pick up when checking where it was. Was told the driver should be here any minute. Another half hour went by andstill no delivery. Very disappointing experience ordering from this restaurant. Read more
Sorrento is like family. The Ellice location was a regular lunch choice for us. Always greeted at the door like we are family... coming for a visit! Then deciding do I want my big feta salad and garlic bread sticks or small lunch pizza and salad combo. Mymouth waters just writing this! Prices reasonable and food amazing! They?ve moved to Wilkes from Ellice which is timely giventhe area on Ellice was becoming problematic and seedy. West End favourite! Lovely family-owned restaurant. Dishes made with love. Nothing here changes, nor should it. Reliably... delicious traditional Italian food. Gerry can cook anything! We have been here many times. Tony and the guys usually do good. The past couple visit lately have left me at a loss. First off... it is mother's day on this day. My wife decided to pick this place for her mothers day meal. We walked into restaurant to thesounds of a man complaining that he made an order over 39 min ago and still did not receive the meal. We then hear the waitresssay the order was not put in. WOW!!! Warning signs right off the hop. We were seated and were the only other customers in therestaurant. She took the order and then we waited we ordered 3 meals, And salad. We waited 25 min. Then noticed that ourwaitress forgot about us. She came around the corner and seen us and realized she didn't give the kitchen our order...."ohshi#". Lol at this point. She came back to us (after I just watched her hand the order slip to the kitchen). She said they werecutting lettuce. Lol. We then got our salad 3 min later. It was good, But then had to wait 35 mins for our order. When it camethey only brought the lasagna, And the bread sticks with no butter. Lol. The rest of the meals were not ordered. Wow!!! The cokewas warm and flat. I think they have alot to work on, Or they just gave up, Or we may have been flagged? After all that, I didnot eat the food. They did not charge for the salad. It used to be one of my all-time favorite pizza places in Winnipeg. They had amazing breadsticks and massive salads too. But... lately, the main waitress has been terrible... Last night, there were only a few tables of people - it wasn't at all full, butthe waitress was throwing around the dishes in the back, making a HUGE ruckus and seemingly making a deliberate scene. She alsodropped a fork "by accident" on one of my table guests, and (this was the worst piece) - stacked dishes haphazardly when takingthem away, dropping one on the table. It was INCREDIBLY loud, and 12 hours later I am still having hearing issues. It wasabsolutely uncalled for. I won't be coming back here thanks. Read more
