Reviews for The Old Spaghetti Factory (Winnipeg) in Winnipeg, MB
We went to the Old Spaghetti Factory for a family birthday celebration, which I told them when I booked the reservation, but... they didn't do anything special to acknowledge our guest's birthday (something they always used to do in the past). The foodwas delicious as always. The reception staff and our server were all friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was warm andcomfortable. It's always fascinating to see the antiques all over the restaurant, too! Read more
This was my first time going and I can say it was not the best experience. My food- the chicken Alfredo ravioli was delicious... but the portions are a tad small and the whole overall experience was not good. Yes it was busy but we waited over 23 minutesfir our water and drinks, I actually had to go and ask for it from another server. I had my 3.5 old daughter with me and outfood took almost 40 minutes. She kept saying how hungry she was. We only got our starters 5 minutes before our main. I had askedanother server (since ours barely came around) if anything could she please see how long it was for my daughters chicken fingersshe's really hungry. Our server was very overwhelmed and not fully paying attention. She admitted she zoned out and wanted tocry (which I felt bad for, but we suffered because of it). She did not get our orders right and after asking us many questionsshe still didn't seem to get it. When our food finally came nothing was given to the right person and two other dishes werebrought to our table we didn't order (one which ended up on my bill). My dinner tasted really great except my daughter stilldidn't have her kids chicken fingers and fries because they brought out a lasagna we never ordered. So I think they had to rushto make her chicken fingers even though I had already asked about them previously. So her fries were undercooked and the honeydill tasted off. I didn't want to complain but I did ask about 3 times about my daughters food in particular cause she keptsaying how hungry she was. So towards the end a manager came around and apologized for the long wait for the kids meal and saidshe'd cover it. Ok that was great considering my daughter barely touched it. If it wasn't for having my daughter I would havebeen a bit more understanding. I get when a restaurant is busy but 25 minutes for drinks, 40 minutes for our starter, and dirtycutlery do not make for a happy experience. Not to mention our server being very off on our order and Read more
You get the most out of your money. Typical pasta order which cost between $13-$20. It comes with either soup or salad, tea or... coffee, and ice cream. Did I mention that they give out unlimited bread with garlic butter on the side? I also recommend itdipping in balsamic vinegar and olive oil mixture. The pasta is okay meaning I can probably cook one at home but I am too lazyand I don't want to spend a fortune on eating out so...here we are. Read more
This was my first time to the Old Spaghetti Factory here at the forks. Phenomenal experience all around. Beautifully situated at... the forks near the banks of the Red and Assinaboine Rivers, the old classic brick building and antigue dining furniture, allserve to make this an exceptional experience. I came here with 4 other friends. Quick and professional service. Quietatmosphere with no music blaring. The food was absolutely fantastic, all the way from the BamBam Shrimp to the and the cheesysquares to the Seafood Fettuccine Alfredo and the ice cream. Great experience, will definitely be back to try some of the othermenu items. Came back again for a second time. Baby Back Ribs on the menu today, with the bam bam shrimp, was a fantasticdinner. Spumoni Ice cream always wraps the meal up perfectly. Loved the experience! Read more
Lots of food for a fairly low price. You are offered free bread right away. Our meals came with a starter (soup or salad)... whichever main you order, and ice cream. The pistachio ice cream was great, try it! Their Moscow Mule, although, not served inthe traditional copper mug, as seen in the photo, is great. Read more
I am giving this restaurant a strong four for the good price options it gives. If you are looking for a gourmet Italian meal... this is not the place you go. This place is all included meal where you order a pasta dish and you will get free tea or coffee, salad, unlimited bread and dessert ice cream. My favorite dish on the menu is spaghetti with meatballs but when you order- askthem to oven bake it with cheese. It's off the menu. Parking spots are easy to find as it is located at the Forks. Makereservations for bigger groups but they have tons of tables. Probably fits 200 people without restrictions. Read more
First time at the old spaghetti factory in Winnipeg on a busy Saturday night. Our server Marga provided Rochelle and I with the... best service! It’s nicely located across from Inn at the Forks. I loved the gluten free options. For dinner I had a Caesarsalad with no croutons, non alcoholic strawberry daiquiri (virgin), roasted grilled chicken with gluten free pasta and vanillaice cream for dessert. Rochelle had the garden salad, martini, chicken parmigiana and spumoni ice cream these were from the“it’s all included” part of their menu. Great tasting food for a great price. Thank you Marga! You are awesome! ???? Read more
Had dinner here. It seemed a bit unorganized. I had what seemed to be a seasoned waitress but she neglected to tell us what was... part of a kids meal and ended up double ordering some parts of a kid menu. I found that to be a bit annoying. Dishes were nevercleared from the table so I kept javing to jockey plates to make room for new dishes coming in and quickly ran out of room. Noone seemed to care that there was a man who kept dropping F bombs that would be heard across the while dining area. The abovedescribed reasons is probably why I wouldn't be coming back here, which is unfortunate. The portions themselves seemed smallfor what you're paying so the value isn't quite there either. When we were getting a second fresh bread brought out, thewaitress was holding it by the knife handle which was in the bread but as if she was going to stab someone with the plate wherethe bread goes in the other hand. I wasn't impressed with the nature of how aggressive that seemed being served that way. I'msure that's not how to present any food at a restaurant. Read more
