Having grown up on Long Island, NY where there are many wonderful Greek Diners along our main roads, this was a gem to find in... Winnipeg. Been here twice within a month before heading back to Beausejour. After checking out of my hotels came here for asandwich and onion rings and then for a hamburger and fries. Excellent diner food and service. You will not find a bettertasting french fry which are handmade daily and never frozen. The burger was delicious and just what I needed before I headedoff for a one hour ride home. Place is very busy as many locals come here, but each time there was one or two tables ready forquick seating. Service is outstanding, keeping your coffee cup filled and just good genuine service. The photo shows the Veal Cutlet we got. The rest of the 4 meals were as bad. The service was bad: (1) they forgot the two $6... milk shakes and we noticed at the car so we had to go back in and ask for them. (2) We paid for the order and since it was busy,we said we would wait outside. But when our order was ready, no one came to tell us. What happened to this place? New owners??? Read more
I travelled 10 hours to enjoy a few menu options after seeing this diner on You Gotta Eat Here ! Service was very fast and... friendly . Chilli cheese fries were amazing ! Burger and dog were mediocre. Grabbed a Rootbeer milkshake for the ride , and wasabsolutely delicious ! I?ll be back again one day to try more options ! Read more
I got today the "Lot o Burger" with some bacon. This poutin as well. He food was excellent. Unfortunately there was a wait, but... they seem understaffed. No big deal to me personally. The service was very friendly, kept our drinks full despite how busy itwas. The booths aren't super comfy, but it's a very classic vibe inside. The parking lot is a bit crowded, but that's to beexpected if the food is as good as it is. Read more
The monster burger was DRY! I honestly think they used frozen Pattie?s from a grocery store. I was starving so ate all my Greek... Chicken Burger, which was tasty but sadly the chicken was dry and even burnt in spots. As well I asked for no tomatoes, and theyhad two massive slices. The poutine was dry and tasteless. I have been here many times for lunch. It's one of those old world diners you know people have been cooking up great food here... for generations and nobody goes hungry. Generous portion sizes. Food is fresh. They are known for their burgers and they arereally juicy and delicious. I heard from someone they have great fried chicken in a bucket so I tried it and it is some of thebest fried chicken I've had. Fair pricing on everything. It does fill up around lunchtime so come a bit early (or late?). Definitely recommended as a regular place. Read more
