Reviews for Passero in Winnipeg, MB
This is the restaurant we chose for our only night in Winnipeg. A wonderful experience with delicious vegetarian plates. We... loved everything we tried and if you are hesitant, go for the Brussel sprouts (picture number 4)! Read more

One of the best restaurants in Winnipeg HANDS DOWN! My whole experience from start to finish was absolute perfection. Every... sharing plate I had was outstanding (Who knew a salad could taste so good? Of course, homemade campanelle pasta with short ribs? What is there not to like... And their cauliflower - their CAULIFLOWER!), and my two glasses of wine (sparkling and red) bothpaired well along the tasting journey. The restaurant has a great atmosphere, chic but comfortable, and the staff were amazing, spot on with the wine pairing suggestions (here's a tip: pick your dishes *first*, then ask your server for wine pairingsuggestions to go with your meal. Valuable advice for visiting any restaurant for that matter), and they came to the table oftenbut without overdoing it. AND, after I left, they even made the effort to track me down through their reservation website tolet me know that I had left my sunglasses there. TOTALLY WORTH THE $$$! Read more

Passero is truly a one of a kind restaurant and I?m definitely hoping to go back soon. Everything on the menu looks incredible... and I?m glad we did shared plates to try out several different dishes. My only minor critique is that the current cocktailselection wasn?t really aligned with my palate, maybe I could?ve requested something else. A true gem. Read more
The food was delicious and waiter we had (mike) did an amazing job explaining each dish. Prices are normal for what you get.... Wish they had a longer list of cocktails but other than that it was a perfect date night location. Read more
Went to Passero for the first time. The restaurant itself was very unique and clean. The open kitchen design is great. The... server was excellent. Very knowledgeable and friendly. We went with her recommendations which were spot on. We started with thebeef tartar. The combination of the tartar and the fresh bread was delicious. One of the best tartar dishes I've had. Secondwas the wild mushroom and roasted potatoes. Not a huge mushroom fan but I must say the dish was solid. A ton of great freshflavours. Third we got the Canadian lobster carbonara. Pasta was fresh, not overly heavy. The flavour was simple which I wascompletely fine with. Then we got the 24 hour braised short ribs. Not a huge short rib fan but it was very satisfying. Somewhatof a rich flavour but the crispy potato side dish complimented the short rib perfectly. Last, for dessert we ordered the darkchocolate tart and the lemon marscapone cheesecake. The tart was very rich and dense, nicely complimented with the sea salt ontop. A little too rich but if you love a chocolate dish this is the one for you. The cheesecake was simple and somewhat light. One of the better cheesecakes I've had. Overall experience is I'd definitely go back. We love tapas and this was a greatexperience. The Only thing I wasn't a fan of was the washrooms outside of the restaurant which isn't maintained by the Passerostaff but the Forks market. I used the facilities once and it was somewhat of a buzzkill. Couldn't get out of the washroom soonenough. Read more
